Here's a simple formula for calculating the score difference: Score Difference = Post-test score - Pretest score And to calculate the percentage change: Percentage Change = ((Post-test score - Pretest score) / Pretest score) * 100 Let's say, for example, a student scores 60 on the pretest and 80 on the post-test. Using the formulas: Score Difference = 80 - 60 = 20 Percentage Change = ((80 - 60) / 60) * 100 ≈ 33.33% This would indicate a score increase of 20 points or a 33.33% improvement from the pretest to the post-test. However, if you have a more complex scoring system or specific criteria for assessing the effectiveness of instructional materials, the calculation method might differ. For instance, you might consider a weighted scoring system or analyze the results based on different sections/topics covered in the instructional materials. It's important to establish clear evaluation criteria before conducting the pretest and post-test to ensure that the assessment accurately reflects the impact of the instructional materials.
