Great video. The only feedback I have is on the last slide. The Quasi-experimental design does not have to have a pre-test. For example, the non-equivalent groups design does NOT involve a pre-test. Other than that, well don!

I'm confused on the pretest and posttedt part so the dependent variable will go through pretest and independent variable will go on posttedt?
@GMLectures2 жыл бұрын
In a pretest and posttest design, the participants are the ones who will undergo the pretest, after which they will receive the intervention/treatment (independent variable), then the posttest will be applied; from there the results will then be determined

May I know what topic was more suitable for Quasi research design ? Cause True experimental was similar to quasi , so how would I know that Quasi was more suitable then True ?
@GMLectures3 жыл бұрын
Hello, with regard to your question. It depends on the following: 1. participants involved in the research 2. the process that will be done to conduct the research Note that while the true experimental research and quasi-experimental research are almost the same, they tend to differ in those two aspects Hope this helps!

thank you so much for the info! i have a question, for quasi-experimental, what sampling method that is suitable for research?
@GMLectures3 жыл бұрын
Hello, Thank you for appreciating this video. Hope it was able to help. As for your question, when it comes to quasi-experimental research, since the participants are not randomly assigned, a possible sampling method would be purposive sampling since the participants are determined through a particular set of characteristics.

My adviser told me to use quasi-experimental design and the methodology is ADDIE , but I don't how to start that?
@GMLectures3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Most likely, the ADDIE model that you are referring to is the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. You can check out this study that involves testing the ADDIE model in Creative Writing: www.ccsenet.org/journal/index.php/elt/article/view/0/44598

Finally, I found this in depth analysis of exp research design. A question. Can this type of design fall into Qualitative type of research? Or is it solely made for quantitative research?
@GMLectures2 жыл бұрын
Hi, The research designs discussed here fall under the classification of quasi-experimental research designs and are considered quantitative research since the research designs involve numeric data. Should you wish to include qualitative data elements, perhaps you are referring to the mixed method approach.
