Not sure how I found your videos. Keep up the good work. I was born in Reno, grew up in Old Southwest and then headed to Big Ten country for college. Since leaving, I haven't spent a lot of time back. Your videos are great and really give me a sense of my old hometown. I'd love a video on Arlington Towers which, though I didn't know it at the time, probably instilled my lifelong love of everything mid-century modern. Cheers from Chicago.

I have always loved the architecture of those houses in Old Southwest Reno. I figured a lot of those houses were built by the people that profited from Virginia City.. I didn't think about any of them being gangsters. Thanks so much for the video, very interesting!!

Great video. I would love to see a deeper dive into Wingfield, McKay and Graham in a future video. These guys were Reno's Corleone, Tessio and Clemenza .

This video title reminds me of one thing. Johnny Depp playing John Dillinger in 'Public Enemies '(2009), and saying the line-"You can put it away. Not here for your money, I'm here for the bank's." ❤

The "witness for the prosecution" ended up in cement booties for a quick and permanent ride to the bottom of Lake Tahoe. And we know how deep that lake is. Sad and pathetic to see the influence completely inhumane, greedy criminals had, and still have, over anything that enriches them, be it financial or legislative. Good episode,. I'm working my way from beginning to last in your videos. Just subscribed due to a plug your friend Jeff from History Hunters have you on his latest video about the mail plane arrows across the country.

In his book "Mob City" documenting the history of organized crime in Reno, Al Moe recounts how the witness was abducted and taken out to the Spanish Springs desert east of Reno, murdered and buried. To this day the grave has never been found.

Love this stuff. Wasnt there a big fire at some point at the Bank Club? Also its so crazy how close these places were to public schools!

Great video. I've been in Reno 2 years now and I've never lived in such a depressing stagnating town. No music scene or nightlife. No pretty women. It's just beat! Reno must of been hip back in the old days. At least I could of got a gig playing jazz piano. I recently lived in Vegas for 3 years. Live music is dead in Nevada. There's way more gigs in NE Florida where I'm from. I just can't stand the humidity at my age. Keep digging up the dirt on old Reno. Love it!

I've seen more good live music in Reno than any other town I've ever lived in and there's tons of beautiful girls but we won't miss you if you head back to FL.
