at 20:06 noticed that the oil funnel is just laying on the pavement...a no no for engine longevity. I love the long lengths and details of your videos......use to do long distances with my bikes and can appreciate the challenges that you capture and share with us viewers. Now that I am an old old man I am so fortunate to be able to ride along with you on your adventures with your you tube videos. Beyond doubt yours is the very best and honest channel out there that I have found!

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, doing these roadside oil changes and other maintenance chores doesn't afford us any luxuries. We sit on the ground, tools on the ground everywhere, grease under the fingernails and in the hair... it ain't pretty! 🤣 We will revise our load-outs and maintenance kits for the next Cannonball to include a few different tools. I might include a shooter's mat or other canvas tarp for sitting and keeping track of our tools better. We also plan to reconfigure how and where we're storing the tools and spares for better weight distribution and easier access. The key to small-bore touring is weight... less is better, so shedding anything extra helps immensely over the long haul. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Oh yea we used the .010”, .020” , .030” rule back then. .010” valves, .020” points and .030” plug gap. 😉 our early Hodaka/Honda bikes ran just fine…

Back in the poor days of the seventies, we used match book covers to gap plugs. The covers were about .020" thick. Enjoy these videos Brother!

i did bicycle ride there at horse coach trails in the summer try to avoid rain but still got me for a while . after that i went to mt kathadin dirt roads area pretty nice . is nice area in the summer if is not rain ? thats to bad seafood there is great lobter .

my silverwing was a nightmare they first time i did it but not its easy because i know how but it still takes about 20 to 30 minutes to pull everything off then 1 minute to change the filter then another 20 to 30 minutes to put it back together.

Enjoyed that, thanks In the past you have said the CT125 is too slow for this event - did anyone try it this time? Have been using the same Airhawk for nearly twenty years but long ago threw out the straps and now use one broad piece of elastic around the seat - means I can quickly stow and deploy it when required. Also, by taking my weight on the pegs I can move the cushion fore and aft on the move thus changing the tilt of my pelvis - I find this significantly adds to the comfort of a long day’s ride

There were a few riders registered with CT125's for the 2021 SCBR, but they didn't show up at the starting line. I could have ridden that event on the CT125, but it would have been very slow... probably about 5-8 MPH slower average speed than we had on our Super Cubs. That means our 500+ mile days would have required an additional 2-3 hours to complete each day... OUCH! 😉👍 --QM
