Hi Quasi, Couple of months ago I got to your channel because RideWithAlex told us about it. I have watched CBR 23 and after that CBR 21. What an effort! I really liked it. I like Neil’s smart and easy ways too. And I wonder what Dumba.. ever created combined braking too. Great job together with Alex on his telemetry now. I already liked it very much in your vids. Very much looking forward to the Cannon Ball Run!

Hey Quasi!! I’m glad it’s coming together. I was thinking after your PCX fall that if I just drained the CBS brake fluid it might make it safer. Sounds like Neil took it to the next level and just deleted the whole thing. 😂. I’m starting my prep for the ADV160 this year. Got my SH33, extra belts and spare CVT parts. Hopefully won’t need any more than a belt this year. I’m waiting to get my city grip 2 tires until a few weeks before the SCBR. I can’t wait to see you and the guys you ride with. You always have good company. 👍. I hope you and your family had merry Christmas and have a happy New Year.

That Quadlock was the best you could get until Peak Design made theirs. The new PD wireless charging units charge at twice the rate of others. Easier to use and more secure than Quadlock as well. Much smaller footprint too. I love mine! I locked the front on my PCX. Separate brakes seem like a great mod! I look forward to your review of its performance.

Really interested in the hunter 350. Just had a dealer start getting them in WV. But the maintenance schedule seems a bit excessive and watching videos looks intrusive to do idk.

The initial checkup at 300-600 miles is inconvenient, but subsequent valve checks every 6K miles isn't bad at all for an air-cooled engine. My Honda mini-motos require valve checks every 4K miles (although they don't require removal of the fuel tank to reach the valves). You can check this video for my DIY process I did for the first service: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3fFgZqChsmGbM0 . Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

It is good that you have separate the brakes but remain the issue that small wheels remain more dangerous on less than flat road conditions. I don't recall which term is used for the black bitumen strips used to cover potholes, but there having small wheels is easy to slip.
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
The PCX has larger wheels (14") than most scooters, but they are still relatively narrow compared to most street bikes. It's primary focus is a city scooter for quick trips and commuting. My adventures force it into uncharted territory, which is certainly outside of Honda's design envelope or intent for this small scoot. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

@QuasiMotard I noticed that you have differents vehicle,where you live you pay the insurance for each moto or only for one? I don't know how work outside but here the insurance is so expensive that is a major concern attempt to have more than one moto ...

Hi Quasi! Nice to see an upload from you, what levers are on the cb500x thanks
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
Howdy! Those are generic adjustable levers that I got on Amazon several years ago: amzn.to/406tu4F . I have a set on both the 500X and the 500F, and they have worked perfectly... good quality and perfect fit! 😉👍 --QM

Dude I'm sorry about that wreck. It looked horrible. And I apologize for not knowing but what happened? Were they just trying to pass or was that intentional? Obviously speed was a factor. I'm glad you're ok tho 🙏🏼
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
Thanks for the comments! That was a road-rage incident... it was an intentional hit. I got banged up pretty bad and couldn't ride for several months while I healed. I'm doing better now, but not back to my old "normal"... still have lingering issues, but I'm marching on. Happy holidays! 😉👍 --QM

@@QuasiMotardDid they ever get the jeep involved? I realize it may be an open case, if so, don't even bother confirming. That dude should be paying you back for the next couple decades if you have a decent lawyer involved. After he gets out of prison, anyway.

To much front brakes into a corner on my CFMoto V5 this summer, washed out the front end and tested the front of my full face helmet. Ended up with the bike on top of me. All my fault. Looked to see if anything was in the road an found nothing but a skid mark. So it was all me an my hand full of front brakes. Now I need a new jacket an helmet.
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
@@RebelCowboysRVs Proper safety gear is a real lifesaver! My helmet and jacket saved my skin during the highway wreck on the Hunter 350. The shoulders of my jacket and the CE2 armor were completely burned through during that 55 mph slide. The helmet took 3 hard hits and didn't fracture. They were worth every penny! 🙏🏻😉👍 --QM

So… was the jeep rage driver identified? Did he get held responsible? And.. are you recovered?
@QuasiMotard15 күн бұрын
Yes, the Jeep driver was arrested at the scene and charged with multiple violations, including aggravated assuault with a deadly weapon. He bonded out of jail about 2 days later. The Houston district attorney's office dismissed all of his charges before the case went to trial, so he didn't face any punishment. I'm mostly healed, but I have permanent damage to my spine and both shoulders (torn rotator cuffs). The insurance settlement paid for the hostpital bills, but not for any surgery or remediation... I'm stuck with whatever I have. Overall, I'm lucky to be in one piece, so there's that. 🤷♂️ --QM

i wonder if that will work for my silverwing ???? if i can get the government off my back on my land taxes i will be trading in my ADV if i have to go upside down. so far out of the 2600 miles i have on it the only thing i like about it. it works good in sand. and nothing works good on loose gravel or rocks. and you never answer your phone
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
Howdy, Glen! Neil designed this tank specifically for the PCX, so the mounting points wouldn't line up with the SilverWing. I've been avoiding (ignoring) phone calls lately due to spammers, bill collectors, and the usual overload of holiday scams. 😉👍 --QM
@MadsWorld34Ай бұрын
@@QuasiMotard sorry i was talking about the brakes. not the tank. i have gotten use to them but i still dont like it. i think if you hit the front its 80/20 if you hit the rear its 70/ 30 or something close and it has came close a couple times to getting me in trouble.

Defiantly a wreck. Needed someone to lift the bike ffs
@QuasiMotardАй бұрын
Nah. I knew he was already off his scoot and headed toward me, so it was faster for him to lift it than for me to roll over and push it off of my leg. I raced moto-x and super-x for over a decade. This was a minor "off" compared to some of the wrecks I've had on the track. If you decide to take a street bike (with street tires) off-road, you should prepare for the inevitable. 😉 --QM

Traction control and abs suck. i need and want complete control of braking and traction of the bike. Old school and off- road riders know what I mean. if you need these to ride, don't. Just get in your car.
