First time in 6 months I was able to start my recovery from Compression of l5 disk in my back. A year and half ago I lost all of the fluid leaked out of disk between L5 and L4 I’m legally disabled, cycling helps me to regenerate the fluid’s. My Scoripion FS 26 has 154 gears, 14 speed Rolhoff with a Pinion 12 speed. My Quatrevelo has Shimano 11 speed Cassette with a Mountain drive, 22 gears. Both climb very well but slow. Most of the Avenue is rowing hills along side the Eel River most of the ride was in hight range mountain drive, or better to explained out of 22 gears I was in 5th thru 14th gears 7 mph up to 18 mph except at the the very last into the campground which I climbed in low range First gear, 2 mph at the very last it was so steep I could not get one revolution. My Quatrevelo with gear about 85 pounds did not try to speed or over ride. Just wanted to get back in shape have a long way to go. Found my Quatrevelo to preform very well. Note: wish I went with a Rolhoff hub drive and the mountain drive. now I’m waiting for the heat to end to continue my commute to a better fitness.
