Something to keep in mind for the future is that Quatro's Special knocks back much further if you actually ram into the opponent when you use it. The faster you're going the better result you'll end up getting!

I beat the game first time with Quodro and yes, I would ram the side or the back of a vehicle and activate his special, even better with turbo and while the machine gunnis still firing. Really good with maps that you could easily take advantage the knock back with. Doom buggy and Sweet Tooth are always a problem though.

I really liked the fact that they added calypso as a playable character and would love to see it again. I also like the "sold" on his nuke truck

I would want to see another Rogue Trip game. The OST is a banger and it's my favorite car combat game outside of TM2.

There's so many specials in this game that it feels like they were scared to make *good* Quatro, Microblast, Pizza Boy, Captain Grimm, the Twin Torchers, the Joneses, and debatably Orbital. And then you have fucking Moon Buggy and Sweet Tooth. They were all over the place with balancing in this game lmao.

@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw Though if you have a Cannon, Missiles and Rockets then you can cycle through them quickly for massive Whammie damage and every vehicle can collect them. But yeah, it seems like so many specials are just WEAK. Going by a Prototype Sweet Tooth was going to have a more balanced special but it was changed last second cause final boss. Dunno what Moon Buggy's deal is though.

I actually agree, Calypso becoming a contestant after being dethroned by Sweet Tooth is actually one of the coolest Concepts in Twisted Metal history, and I think it came just in time when the first three games established Calypso's power, and Sweet Tooth being a menace to the player in the meantime. Seeing the roles swapped is so surreal and I just love how calypso uses literal nukes as a special and a big armored truck. It really aligns with his over-the-top persona, especially when he says Twisted Metal is his and he is out to prove it.

I think what they had in mind for this character was that he uses on map weapons more than anything because he is so fast and slippery... His special is pretty useful to get away and just run past people.. pretty cool character. And good use of axel special without being axel

My favorite character is Quatro! Abusing his Special to throw people around is a ton of fun. I just wish his vehicle wasn't so unruly when driving on any kind of uneven ground.

For the playthrough of the create a car, you could do one full playthrough of whatever the most powerful or funny combo is but also a showcase of each special would be cool just playing some quick deathmatches. That way you dont spend hours and hours but still get to show at least most of what the create a car has to offer.

I want another Vigilante 8, I think its the next best thing to TM and id love to see it on steam, original or remake U got a Tank from 1917 and a hoverbike from like 2550 xD I still think this game takes place in the 90s based on most of the levels but they kinda just added anything on a whim

Calypso being playable while Sweet Tooth took over the competition was honestly great. Like Sweet Tooth IS the mascot, so it's perfectly fine he's the one actually running things instead of Calypso. It was a nice little twist. But definitely a sometimes food. Maybe could have him be an unlockable final boss. Even as convoluted lore is, according to the TM2 comic Calypso DOES have superb driving skills. As for Quatro, I'll admit he is a neat design. Seems more like Mr Grim then Captain Grim does. And honestly crap specials seem to be a theme so. But you are right that someone so weak doesn't really have a special to offset that. Doesn't even fit into the Hit and Run style these characters usually have. 11:44 Actually, that was a concept for Twisted Metal 2. When they were trying to work out some of the gameplay issues; how the cars controlled was a big issue (As they handle like normal vehicles in TM1, fine for a driving game, not so much a car combat game). So the hover car concept was pitched, made it to concept art stage before ultimately being scrapped. It being decided the cars could just turn on the spot when not moving regardless.

I like Calypso as a playable characters but the chances of happening again are very little. maybe just as a versus mode only character, like having no impact on the tournament mode.

19:53 It might be cheating because SO MUCH OF IT is built off Twisted Metal it is one in all but name. But I think Rouge Trip: Vacation 2012 would be perfect to remake. The base "King of the hill" tourist gameplay keeps things fresh. Since it's not a death match like Twisted Metal you could keep characters coming back without the canon going to complete pot. Plus it's got a nice plot and characters. Honestly it's a shame it's was basically forgotten about.

The shockwave definitely would be better if it had a tiny bit higher damage or it came back super fast but low damage numbers and specials that take an hour to get back one charge is the TM4 experience.

Its weird how weak quatro is, they didnt give him big ram damage to make up for his specials lack of power and he feels so much worse off than axel for it

Cmon man thats my main. That wave comes back fast,and with his speed you can ram and hit the wave to send em flying It is meant to get people away when things get hairy, but i love ramming into people with it. Also, it feels better on a fast character tbh. Not really any cars that can run away from my wave. Right now, im on 82 immortal with quatro. If someone is mobing when the wave hits, it sends them farther. If there coming at you and you hit em head on,thats where it sends em the farthest for some reason All in all,hes hard to hit, has a nice,versatile but simple special that pushes people far enough to lob mortars on, and when you get used to his hovercraft driving like a car(unless you love turbo air combat like myself) then hes just a menace to play against. None of my friends can kill me,and so far the most i lose in immortal is one life. He takes time, but his strengths overbear his weaknesses

Oh going invisible helps to get other cars driving around aimlessly. Works well for the crane exploit. This twisted Metal was never meant to have extremely damaging specials. Its like going from Street Fighter 2 to SF Alpha 3. Your supposed to use the weapon switch exploit to spam attacks. For example,with quatro I can ram and hit a wave,freeze, then cycle through my weapons dumping them down range and if they survive im at a good range to drive away or rinse and repeat the process
