This is a win-win for bowling. The lane can be used for traditional bowling, and then converted to this new video-game type of bowling with a push of a button. Besides, no gutters will appeal to all the non-bowlers in the world. I love it!

John Losito Depends, the lanes would have to be converted to a traditional pinsetter. The USBC doesn't allow string pinsetters as it doesn't set up pins which have moved off spot.

A lot of FECs are putting in string machines, but a traditional center would be able to install this as well. Trust me. You obviously couldn't use bumpers for certified USBC competition, so it doesn't matter what type of pinspotter is in use for this.

I wish they had a lighter ball so everyone can actually play it and you can use your own shoes. The gutter multiplier isn’t the best use of the bumper guard. Bowling isn’t pool.

I'll opine that for the party bowling segment of the market, this might just add to the basket of offerings a center can add to make bowling fun. --- Please just watch the young-uns bowl on your traditional ten-pin only lanes and note how soon the party-goers aren't interested in bowling any more and you have to 'make' them take their turn.

For the people that is critisizing this innovative idea, let me tell you this: This is an optional item for a bowling lane, can be turned off for league and sport competitions, this is for the casual bowler, birthday parties, corporate events, and entertainment side of bowling. Can be installed with any pinsetter type, and can be enabled or disabled at your will, there a 4 different games, and believe me, pro's will struggle or fail to complete the most challenging leves of each game. This is innovation, this is the future of bowling.

Why not deduct varying points based on colors instead of multiply points when hitting the gutters? People who are used to this arcade game will have diffculty playing the sport, and on the other hand, bowlers wont play this as doing so will affect their performance. Aiming for gutter vs avoiding it.

It seems like they weren't truly committed to actually designing something fun. Its just colorful lights on the bumpers. I was looking this up cause apparently they added one in Ohio but damn this is lame. I rather just actually bowl then try this half hearted attempt at making bowling a "video game".

Can I use my $300.00 Mega, pocket smashing reactive bowling ball in this game? I can see where they are coming from; with 8 year old kids shooting 300's and 800's there seems to be no more challenge left in bowling. Time for something new; sort of like when chess players are reinventing chess because computers are on the verge of finding the best move in every variation.

I suppose this is neat... sort of. BUT QAMF should really concentrate on possible improvements for REAL bowling if they want to survive. They've kinda been stuck since MagicScore came out in 1979... everything since has been putting lipstick on a pig.

I've been to Bowl Expo several times since they merged. And I KNOW they have zero debt. But the technologies introduced have been 100% for the purpose of furthering their bottom line by selling the entertainment aspect with 0% efforts being given to the actual improvement of the SPORT OF BOWLING via technological advancement. I guess I could possibly give them a 5% score due to their investment with 900 Global to produce bowling balls IF they would've made the effort to produce an AMF labeled ball that is legal to use in P.B.A. competition. Bowling moving forward in the 21st century needs to stand on its own as a COMPETITIVE SPORT. Bill and Barb Chrisman are the leaders in innovation with their Storm Bowling Balls. Additionally, E.B.I and even Brunswick continue to advance the equipment from a competitive standpoint. Kegel is at the forefront of what needs to be done... From the functionality of equipment to sport growth and functionality standpoint, there is not one improvement from MagicScore through Qubica AMF scoring and their BES-X entertainment interfacing... They're exactly the same!! You roll a ball and the computer keeps score!
