After getting Defected’s attention with his 'Disco Connection' release in 2016, Italian DJ Qubiko blossoms with this production debut for Defected Records. ‘These Days EP’ is a three-track release featuring some quintessential Defected moments. The title track, a collaboration with young fellow Italian K-909, has echoes of Kings Of Tomorrow’s style, with velvety female vocals over a club-focused 4/4. Likewise, ‘Set Me Free’ features gorgeous vocals and tight hi-hat accents giving it that classic house association, while ‘Raw Luv’ goes deeper with a steady disco build and a pacey feel-good vibe. It’s a timeless piece of work from the Defected newcomer.

I was very into House (David Morales, Erick Morillo, yeah I'm old), Progressive and Trance (late 90´s... Oakey, PvD and then Sasha, Digweed, D. Howells, S. Kleinenberg, D. Seaman, Luke Fair, J. Holden), then Techno and Tech house... but I must recognize this label... always outstanding in the selection of tracks... nice and well constructed music... Back to the basis ; ) Makes the soul happy!
