When I was a kid in the 70's a teen in the 80's , I swear every weekend there was a boda (wedding) or a quinceñera going on. Always a live band and a huge dance floor. My parents dancing the night away me, asleep on the chairs covered in my dad's coat🤣

I love seeing young people dancing together. I wish young people here in the US would dance again. We haven't seen serious couples dancing in the US since Disco. I think country music clubs may still have line dancing and couples dancing but I don't really know. Dancing is good for you and so much fun. I have always been a dancing fool since back in the 80s. It keeps you young and I always tell people to turn off the lights, put on some great dance music, and dance like nobody's watching.

Reminds me of when I and my sister stopped for a Mexican meal near San Diego and we were the only whites in there and the food was awesome. The older women had the Mexican regalia on and we realized after the fact that we just had an experience.

I didn't dance, but I watched everyone. Only time I danced was the Lanzar el Ramo and La Vibora de la Mar. I didn't want to. The abuelas made me.

CUMBIA IS MUSIC FROM SOUTH AMERICA "COLOMBIA" BUT THIS IS A MEXICAN FLAVOR THAT THE MEXICAN MUSICIANS GIVE WITH THEIR LITTLE TWIST DOWN HERE IN SOUTH AMERICA CUMBIA IS PLAYED DIFFERENT BUT IT STILL HAS IT'S BASE ROOTS THAT EQUAL RHYTHM & FEEL IT'S ENJOYED ALL OVER LATIN & SPANISH AMERICA YOU GUY'S SHOULD FIND A CLUB OR NEIGHBOR AND GO HAVE SOME FUN ENJOY THE SOUNDS GROOVE & FOOD ESPECIALLY THE CULTURES AMAZING REACTION THANKS GRIFFIN BROTHERS ✌🏼& LO💚E MY BROTHERS

You are getting confused with cumbia sonidera mexicana like los Angeles azules.. this is just norteño music or texano music.. they just call it cumbia to differentiate it from other norteño music with slower tempo like los tigres del norte.. but at the end this is just norteño music and related to a polka norteña .
@NOAHCASAS2 жыл бұрын
@@ccchk1 NO THIS MEXICAN STYLE IS A TAKE FROM CUMBIA FROM COLOMBIA BUT IT IS A MIX FUSION OF BETWEEN NORTEÑO & CUMBIA THAT HAS THE COUNT OF 3 BARS WITH COWBELL BASS COUNT ON 1 & 3 PLUS THE ACCORDION IS TRADITION OR IF IT'S PLAYED ON THE DOUBLE COUNT ON 2 & 3 AND 1/3 HITS ON THE HI·HAT IT'S PRETTY MUCH SAYING THE SAME ABOUT "POLKA MUSIC & NORTEÑO/CORRIDOS" IS THE SAME BEENING THAT THE EUROPEAN GERMANS BRINGING AND TEACH THE COLOMBIANS WITH ACCORDIONS MADE CUMBIA & MEXICANS WITH MADE ACCORDIONS MADE NORTEÑOS / CORRIDOS & GRUPEROS ETC........ THAT'S MUSIC HISTORY 1O1 YOUR WELCOME
@ccchk12 жыл бұрын
@@NOAHCASAS this has nothing to do with columbian cumbia 🙄yes Polka was introduced in Northern part of Mexico in the 19th century by German immigrants. Mexicans have been putting their own style for centuries. This music and even the dance using mostly arms.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJvVaJWhZ8yWabs

@@ccchk1 BEING A MUSICIAN TRAVELING TO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES STUDYING MUSIC I'VE SEEN AND YOU'LL SEE AND FIND OUT THE BASE AND ROOTS OF MUSIC AND INSTRUMENTS THAT'S WHY I'M SAYING THIS "CUMBIA SONIDERA" IS A FUSION OF "CUMBIA & NORTEÑO"
@ccchk12 жыл бұрын
@@NOAHCASAS no.. norteño/texano music is just polka with a touch of cuban tropical music( cuban music was very popular in mexico because of movies and also in the US texas) texano/norteño music this is older than Mexican cumbia( this are two different genres).. the colombian cumbia was introduced to mexico in the 70's, before that Mexicans already had mixed tropical sounds brought from cuban with regional music.. cumbia mexicana was formed in the 70's .. Cumbia Mexicana is a mix of Mexicanregional music (huapango,mariachi,techno,banda) with tropical sounds from cuba and later on from colombia.

Wow! That was incredible to watch. So good seeing the bros- HAPPY NEW YEAR guys! Two thoughts: 1. I sure do hope they don’t drink before dancing- those women need a very sober man to trust throwing and twisting them around like that! 2. I would need to ice my neck, back, shoulders, knees and hips for a week after dancing like that!
