I don't see any changes for myself living in NL. No rediction on my energy bill, no tax relief. No nothing. It DOES NOT change anything for me. Why did he say everything changes when it does not change for the tax paying newfies?

You have to have a deal that allows for change before you begin making those changes. Give it a minute. This contract was never going to specify changes such as that. But billions of dollars in new revenue for the province puts us in a position to do those things like never before. Its a good thing. Now its up to current and future politicians to use the revenue from this deal to help people like us.

I'll be holding my breath for when labradorians finally benefit from what we supply..

I’m staying optimistic. That truly, at least at this point, really seems earnestly to be the spirit of this deal. AND (I should add, as a Newfoundlander) that Labradorians rightly deserve! Also so glad to hear that there appears to have been Innu leaders involved and collaborating. I’d just love for this to be good policy, good governance, and good infrastructure finally.

Stop talking like you're your own province you have a population the size of Mount Pearl. You don't supply anything they're not Labrador's resources they're Newfoundland and Labrador's resources and you sit on lands that belong to the Innu and Inuit so why don't just hop of your high horse and take a dose of reality or we'll change the name back to just Newfoundland just to remind you where you are 😂

Quebec saw all the power from Churchill falls passing through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia anddecided they would rather make a little less profit rather than losing it all.

Well, Hydro Quebec made it possible for the construction of the dam to happen in the first place, with contractual and financial help, which is how the old agreement based on uninflated dollars happened. I think it was more about updating the hydroelectricity trade and offering billions on new dams in the region, since Hydro Quebec is starting to have power problems during winter with Trudeau's endless migration, we have been told to keep our thermostat as low as possible last year.

Nothing to compare here Labrador sends 4800 Mw to Québec While it can Only send a maximum of 800 Mw to nova scotia…
