If you had posted this video on day one, the tragedy of the coat hangers could have been averted. Your video clearly shows that the rails are held by stirrup brackets with open upper ends. You could have liberated the rail with a gentle rap from below, allowing you to slide the desired number of hangers off the end and move them to another rail similarly liberated.
