Sorry about that. You will have to loosen it and reduce the back shoulder to match the front shoulder.

Hello, thank for this very clear tutorial. But I wondered why the shoulder to waist is the same? My back waist is 2” shorter than my front waist, should I add a 2” dart on the side front?

@@annfulcher407 The front and back waist line is the same because I didn’t take side dart for it. If you want to take the side dart,you can do that by increasing the front pattern by 2 inches for the dart.

You’re welcome. Sorry for the late response. I illustrated two types of back pattern in the tutorial. One is the regular back pattern with a zipper while the one with v waistline is the one with loop,meaning you can fix loop at the back and lace it,I explained it the tutorial.

After drafting the yoke for the back, should i cut off the zip extension where button is meant to be? I actually cut it off and it was looking short. I couldn't hold them both together to button up

No,you don’t have to cut off the part where the button is meant to be,if you have cut it out already,sew a loop inside and bring it out on the right side,that way,you can hold it together.

Is the seam allowance included in the draft for the princess dart? Or while cutting the fabric should we add extra half inch ?

Yes,there’s stitching allowance but when cutting on your fabric add extra half inch on the Princess dart and on the base.
