This is super helpful! I really like the way you did this. It’s not overly inundating with the history of anthuriums 😅like some people do. It’s straight to the point with useful info. You’ve experienced impressive growth with your anthuriums. I have two queens, lux x rad, mag and some other hybrids. I’m relatively new still though

This is a great video with detailed info which I truly appreciate! The reason for the difference in your internodel spacing b/t moss and soil is most likely because the ones grown in soil are growing faster, so they are larger and the nodes are more spaced out. The ones in moss have access to fewer nutrients so they are growing slower, allowing for compact growth with much shorter internodes. Love your set up and your beautiful plants. Thanks for sharing!

I love this break down of what medium fertilizer/watering humidity and most of all the PAR section. I have been measuring PAR over the last few months and this is the first video I have seen that goes into PAR levels like this for these specific plants. Really cool to see the set up and how each plant has done for you over time.

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for sharing the progress of your plants. I appreciate the solutions you offer and your straightforwardness. I will be receiving an Anthurium Warocqueanum soon and would love some more advice, as well as an update on yours. Thank you for sharing, and I'm eager to see an update.

Thank you so much for making this video!! Its been very helpful. Just got mine from ecuagenera and when I got it I was very disappointed with how small it was. After seeing your plants’ progress, I’ve been encouraged!!! I’ll make sure I’ll remember to fertilize my plants lol I seem to always forget and so they only got fertilized 6 times this year 💀

I live in San Diego! I know, zone 10b is probably not the same as you in Sacramento, but our hot days are fairly close. Believe it or not, just because I just live five minutes from the beach, we have 80° days in October, often through Christmas, lol. September in Socal is more like 90-95° days. The ocean breeze is basically nonexistent. Can you grow these plants year round outside, sheltered? They all look great, I also love Bonide houseplant insect systemic. I swear by it, for non-edibles, haha. They make an organic systemic, too, that’s safe for edibles. I just found this out! I love sphagnum moss for everything including succulents! I also like orchid mix, premade, and I just amend it some more. I think the larger leaves but less leaves with the aroid mix is due to the the superior nutrition and organic matter, The sphagnum is good too, but not as nutritionally dense as the mix probably, but that’s what stimulates the plant to be tighter, and produce more. Kind of like succulents… if they’re grown in too dark of light, they get greener, absorb more moisture, exhale less of it, and risk rot… but they are generally healthy.p if you watch the water. On the contrary, give plants/succulents more light, with minimal substrate, and the growth is tighter and denser. Plus colors are often enhanced. It all boils down to stressing the plant, it’s a fine line. Lol. Make ‘em shake in their boots a little, I’ve heard someone say once. Deprive them of just enough of something, be it light or water or nutrients, and the form and colors often improve,

thanks for the note - I think you should try one plant outside and see how it does - I put a melanochrysum outside 2 weeks ago as the weather isn't as hot now and it doing well. The sphagnum plant had the tighter node growth...

Beautiful beautiful plants! I have an Anthurium Bessea shipping in the mail! I struggle with some, and others are doing great...my Dark Form Forgettii is doing wonderful....it is in the moss it came with! Highly recommend this one!...So you do like moss better than aroid mix for the queen? I got my queen this summer with 3 leaves and one leaf has slowly died away....she is alive but not thriving.....I moved her to a different spot with a couple other anthuriums and so far they like it! I love them all...and please share when you add anymore to your collection! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
