HEY REBEKA, THANK YOU FOR STARTING MY DAY OUT HAPPY, WITH THIS REACTION!! These four truly were a band of soul brothers. Later on when Freddie was ill... Brian, Roger and John circled around him and tried to protect him from the horrible press, and then even took time away from their own families to go stay with him in Montreux. They supported him in every way possible and, after he passed, their love for Fred never faded... John was so devastated that he retired permanently; Brian was so depressed that he actually checked into a psychiatric facility for awhile; Roger has actually had a giant statue of Freddie in his back garden for years. Nowadays when Brian and Roger play together with AL, they always pay tribute to Freddie in their shows... And after all these years, Roger and Brian still celebrate their birthdays together!

Roger mentioned that he and Brian had a band before Queen in 1969 (Smile). They are still touring together, having just finished a European tour this summer (2022). Friends and bandmates for more than 53 years. How great is that?!
