At the time of Live Aid I was serving in the British Royal Marine Commandos in a refugee camp in Ethiopia. We listened to it on the radio. We were surrounded by the full horror of the Famine, but when Queen came on the radio those poor soles who were there even reacted in a very positive way. I remember that a lot of us Royal Marine Commandos were crying watching some of the children dancing along, I'm teary eyed just remembering. I looked around at men I had fought alongside, who were tough, hardened Royal Marine Commandos who had fought a life and death war against Argentinian's in 82. By the end of Queen's set we were dancing with the children. It went along way to help build their trust in us. The famine is only one of many terrible memories I have from 34 years of active service, and 2 years hospitalisation. But when I remember the smiles on the children's faces, and their laughter at the terrible way we danced always reminds me that humanity will always find it's way through even the worst of times. I only watched it for the first time last year, my son put it on the TV. A lot of memories came back and a lot of tears. My amazing Wife took me to see Queen at Wembley, U.K., in 1986 two weeks after I got back from Ethiopia as a surprise. I saw Queen live 6 times in all, they were incredible live. And yes, I am an old fart.

I loved your reaction. Dancing and lip-syncing through the whole thing and your emotions during Champions is lovely. A true fan. Freddie had nodules on his vocal chords since 1976 and had a throat infection at the time of this concert. His doctor told him he shouldn't perform but that didn't stop Freddie. There was no test for Aids in 1985 that was accurate so Freddie did not know he had it at this time. He was tested in April 1987 and that's when he found out. Queen were all four just killing it that day. I hope you watch Freddie and Brian come on later in the evening to do Is This The World We Created? They were asked to do the song by Bob Geldof. @@vandy2715 He had a throat infection. O.K. if you see that as brave, sorry if misunderstood. It could be said that he lived his entire adult life bravely.

Very emotional and the sweetest reaction, Rebeka :) Very nice! I could recommend you to check Somebody to love (Live in Montreal 81) - Freddie sounds very powerful and strong. Another less known masterpiece - White Queen (Live at Hammersmith Odeon, 1975) :)

Adorable reaction ... you’re in great hands with us Queenies! Sounds like you’ve already fallen into the Queen rabbit hole!! Btw, no place I’d rather be 😁. Definitely check out FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS live in Milton Keynes 1982. NOW I’M HERE live at Wembley 1986. GET DOWN MAKE LOVE live in Montreal 1981. ❤️❤️❤️

The BEST reaction I've ever seen a "reactioner" give yet! Seeing so many people gathered together for the love of music and such a worthy cause kinda restores faith in humanity .And yes it was like "itchycoo park " for me too. I agree had he lived the music he would have continued to make is a loss for the world not to have ,I really believe that...Great reaction vid thanks for sharing it.

I just love the body movement reactions!!!!.....You really feel the music, that is rare in some of these reaction videos...thank you........No apologies for feeling music......that is what is so great about REAL music. Brings out true emotions from your soul. If it doesn't touch you, you are not alive.
