Let me introduce you the Queen: Freddie Mercury the lead singer and pianist, Brian May the guitarist, John Deacon the bassist and Roger Taylor the drummer, they all were highly graduated. Queen is the most versatile rock band, they wrote their own stuff in several genres (cca. 15) from rock to jazz, to pop, etc. about 200 songs. Freddie never took singing lessons, but his powerful and emotional performances are still legendary. Pls, check out Somebody To Love at the same Montreal concert.

New sub btw. Yeah man, Brian May was a fantastic guitar player and a great singer as well. Totally capable of doing lead vocals along with the drummer as well who actually has the highest range in the band. So he's that highest voice you hear in the Opera parts. But yeah it's fantastic and I would strongly hurt you to listen to the studio cut and also I think I've seen a video that I think it's to the studio cut but it incorporates a fair amount of their live performance but it's from earlier, like his hair is longer and stuff like that. I play lots of instruments and have played in bands forever but when you say you like guitar solos coming man there's a British band from the late sixties early seventies called Ten Years After, led by guitarist Alvin Lee who is also the vocalist, he's the front man. But all four of those dudes are amazing. One of their biggest radio hits from around 1973 I think, is called, I'd love to change the world. And I've seen a number of people react to it so it must not be difficult to upload. But anyway that would be a great Gateway into that band, if nothing else even that one song, it's iconic. And the guitar solo in it is infamous. It's not real long but it's really really good and the whole band just freaking whales. Plus the sentiment is good and it's got an incredible atmosphere to it, it's amazing, I would highly recommend it. Definitely go for the audio cut and not a live one to truly understand what they were doing and this would be what we all heard on the radio.

Actually Freddie's and Rogers are about the same, both had 4 octave vocal ranges. I think Freddie's highest note was a F6 or even possibly higher when you listen to some of the unofficial bootleg recordings.

Freddie had a higher range then Roger. Their voices just sound different. Because Freddie's voice has more weight and more lower frequencies his high notes sounds fuller, which sounds lower to untrained ears. Roger's vocal range E2 - E6, Freddie's vocal range F3 - F#6. Lighter and brighter voices always sounds higher to the untrained ear. Freddie and Roger mostly sang high harmonies together.

@@queenremix1353 good point for sure. We have seen other instances of like this for example Grand Funk Railroad where the drummer actually has a higher range than the front man but they utilized it quite well obviously. And I know there are others I'm just not thinking of them right off the top of my head. But yeah good point for sure.
