Taylor Baltham Thanks I appreciate comments like these. Its my 1997 Ibanez RG550. I'm unsure of the pickups as the previous owner was unsure too, but I've ordered a lot of custom parts (hardware) for this guitar and will be making a before and after video soon of it. Just waiting for the pickups to arrive from the US. I plan to do a lot more with this channel, I'm just stuck on this one video thats taking me forever to get a few parts right. I think it will be worth it in the end.

The good: excellent vibrato, tone, all the right notes. The bad: like so many youTube guitar covers, lots of notes are ahead of the rhythm. It reminds me of that State Farm guy in the movie Whiplash ... "rushing!" ... and "not my rhythm...".

Thanks a lot man, I've been playing for about 11 years now but most of that time has been playing in my bedroom, learning random parts of songs and looking up tabs for anything thats of interest. I've definitely learnt most of what I know from KZbin and other various websites (although I wish I actually did know music theory), so as long as you've got an internet connection its up to you what you want to learn haha ;) Send me a message if you have anymore questions. I bought this guitar pre-owned off eBay and these were the strings it came with it at the time. The previous owner didn't know I really liked the feel and tone of these strings, so I'd love to know what they were. They seemed brighter compared to the Ernie Ball 9's I put on it. They could have been Dunlop 9 Super Brights? Thanks

You can practice it if you want, but If you have just a few months on the guitar you wont be able to play it in just a couple of days. Maybe in 1 year, this is a pretty easy solo but there's tasks like bending, vibrato, slow scale run, slides, etc on this solo that you wont be able to do just having started to play guitar some weeks or months ago. Still you can use the solo to practice and improve those tasks and in 1 year you'll be set :)
