I started reading again myself teenage books after head injury and found a favourite living author I am able to follow the story line despite poor memory as she refers back often to previous storyline. @ Thank you for your kind comment. It has taken me 25 years to find way of following in a book . I found Michelle Paver jogs the memory and the stories are simple to follow and get my imagination seeing again. Something I very much lost along with short term memory. I used to try authors I enjoyed before but had to keep reading the same piece over and over again not remembering the story line. Now at least I am catching up. I was a book worm as a young person and won first prize in creative writing competition through a course with Bournemouth Uni but gave up as soon as I frustrated. Now I am reading a little every day but dread running out of suitable material as I get so frustrated when I can not follow the plot etc. Thank you.
