@@Sherlika_Gregori I used to be such a Diana lover and a Camilla hater. I have had a 180* turn on that view over the past 18 years. Diana had a lot of problems and Queen Camilla has gone above and beyond in doing service and duty. Both Charles and Camilla have remained faithful and loving.

@@notbill08 Your comment echoes my feelings exactly. I was a huge fan of Diana, and was actually upset when over the years I read how William and Harry accepted her, but I have read so many good things about Camilla, and it is so obvious how much she and Charles love each other. With all the shenanigans of Harry and his wife, and all the "sugars" maligning Camilla, has only made me like her more. Also, the obnoxious bestowing of sainthood on Diana at the expense of Charles and Camilla is definitely not helping matters.

Harry’s viciousness towards his family is just astounding. One of the worst things that he’s done in my opinion is to compare his relationship with Meghan to the relationships of his father and brother in such a way as to insinuate that his is the only loving and genuine relationship.

It shows how skewed Harry's thinking is. He seems to believe that every royal marriage is like his parent's marriage was. Sadly, Charles and Diana's marriage was one of convenience, not of love. IMO, Andrew and Sarah's marriage broke that mold. Perhaps witnessing the misery in Charles and Diana's marriage is why subsequent unions have been love matches rather than business agreements.

I’m British and at the time of Diana’s death I wasn’t happy about Camilla becoming queen if she married prince charles. However, she was been a huge support to Charles and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to earn her position as Queen consort. I think that Charles will make a much better king with her support and I wish them both a long and happy reign.

I suspect you speak for many. It's a reminder of how the media can influence public opinion. I don't think many people knew much about Camilla other than how she was vilified in the press. Now that we see her and Charles together, I believe she was treated unfairly and I'm glad true love prevailed.

I think part of the problem with Camilla’s detractors, and often Meghan defenders, is an incredibly materialistic & shallow understanding of what being royal is all about. A less avaricious appreciation would recognise that it’s really not something to be envied or connived for. I’m convinced Camilla really doesn’t enjoy her position, let alone desired it, and that she suffers it with humour & grace is testament to the fact that she’s there for the man, not the position.

The irony of Harry complaining about his stepmother wanting good PR is not lost on me since his wife is addicted to controlling her own PR to the point of where it looks like she's suffering from a sickness. I appreciate you trying to make sense of Harry's statements but my empathy for him is completely down the drain because of all the other toxic things he's said and his own cruel behavior. I'd love to see a video on how he 'really' described his disabled teacher. That story is burned in my head and has dissolved any empathy I may have had for him. Maybe I'm biased after suffering from narcissitic abuse myself. I am done trying to empathise with those in society who abuse others then expect compassion because they were 'victims' of their circumstances.

I cannot tell you Shauna just how much I and countless others here on KZbin truly appreciate your refreshing objective take on the Monarch, Great Britain/England/U.K. and Harry and Meghan. Although I'm American-I nevertheless have a lot ties-including familial ones to the United Kingdom. I absolutely love your channel because at long last-I don't have to worry about jumping to any immediate conclusions or worry about necessarily being forced against my will to 'pick and choose' anyone outright from any particular side. I also greatly appreciate the fact that I can finally get the honest truth behind so much of the sensationalism surrounding the Coronation as well as ensuing public relations battle between the Monarchy and Montecito. Thanks to you and your unique insight and refreshing perspective on things, I have since come to realize just how much the Royal Family is even more down to earth like the rest of us mere mortals. As we all have relatives and people in our lives that are debatably straight from Hell in our personal opinion. Now that I'm 35; I have also come to realize that sadly Harry is one of those guys who no matter how much you kiss him-instead of turning into a real prince (more like self-effacing William!) he's more or less always going to remain a frog. Moreover, at this particular point in time, I don't even know how in the world Harry would even be able to progress at all going forward especially with how he actually perceives women and girls in general. I mean, if he can openly and indefensibly attack the late Queen, Camilla, Catherine, Sasha, and even poor Charlotte just to name a few, then who's really to say just how bad and awful a father he really is in reality? As it is not inevitable given his narcissistic behavior and obstinacy amongst other things that he will just as assuredly come to treat and even despise and resent Lilibet should she happen to somehow fall short of his own delusions and his glaringly clear Oedipus complex with his mother Diana? What's more is should he and Meghan actually do divorce-what if anything would honestly make him believe that most heterosexual women especially here in the States would be lining up for miles in anticipation of going out on a date with him? And let's face it, if Harry thought it was tough before trying to find a girlfriend who would readily accept giving her entire life over to the Monarchy in the same vein as Camilla and Catherine have-then he's definitely in for a very rude awakening as he going to find it even more challenging to find a single woman left on this earth who would be willing to go to war on an hourly basis with Meghan for him where their children are concerned.

Per Tom Bower & Angela Levin, Camilla would have been perfectly content in life, living quietly in the countryside, gardening, reading & meeting friends for lunch. She was not an overly ambitious woman once her children were grown. It was Charles who wanted them to be married. He wanted her at his side. Period. He was already in love with her when his marriage to Diana was arranged. I believe he and Diana had some happy times, but even she knew Charles had wanted to marry Camilla & it was not allowed & he had a duty as the future monarch. What Camilla subjected herself to for 20 years, can't have been for any other reason than real love! She didn't need the money. She had many friends & a loving family & she and her ex-husband still remain very close. Even the late QEII grew to see this & when HLMTQ released a statement saying her wish was for Camilla to be referred to as Queen Consort, it was her way of recognizing Camilla really put the work in & has more than earned respect & recognition. Before Harry started invoking Diana's name & tragic death for profit & attention, not many people would dare bring up the fact that Diana was not an angel. She strayed from her marriage with multiple affairs, before Charles sought out Camilla. Diana was too young when they married & she had many inner demons that she never conquered. Diana stole Dodi Al Fayed from another woman he was engaged to! No one ever mentions that. Not only did she know he was engaged & this broke up the engagement, but she was also only with Dodi to make Hasnat Khan jealous & that is why she called paparazzi on that fateful day where they tragically lost their lives in that crash. Dodi likely never knew she called the paparazzi because she wanted pics of her & Dodi out in the public eye hoping it would get Hasnat Khan to commit to her. I have the utmost respect for Camilla. She has to have nerves of steel to go through life like she did for more than 2 decades & no one would subject themselves to that if it weren't for true love.

If Harry doesn’t believe his family is “racist” and that Camilla wasn’t a “wicked stepmother” or “a villain”, if he had any empathy he would understand that the parallels between his wife’s unpopularity and need to control the press was very different in reaction. He has not once stepped forward to address the skewed reporting of his own words…EVER. He has allowed this to continue but arced up over every word about Megs, even hurting two very elderly and very ill grandparents without conscience. I also have a problem with the complete deliberate ignoring of Diana’s own (several) peccadillos..very public that they were. She stepped out first. Hypocrisy to accuse Charles really.

I have always been a great admirer of Queen Elizabeth. but over recent years, as we have gained access to more information, I must admit that my admiration has waned. I'm just sad that Queen Elizabeth would stand in the way, of her son's happiness for so long..that she tried to control her son, by refusing to attend events where Camilla was present..that she blame her mother for har decision and behavior .. by saying that she could not go against her mother's wishes like that.. makes me think that she is not taking responsibility for her own behavior, but also that her mother is obviously the one, who had control over her even though she was between 60-70 years old. we know that both the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth liked, Camilla, actually loved her personality as she was often a guest together with Andrew. after Camilla was divorced they suddenly hates her, it makes no sense.. had my mother been against my son, and throw tantrums because my son wanted to be with the woman he loved. I had told her to come back when she, could behave in an orderly manner... we know that Prince Philip also liked Camilla, and feels sorry for Camilla and he told Charles it was about time for him to marry her.. his opinion was obviously not that important to Queen Elizabeth as her Mother's opinion.. pyha 😓. I can understand that Prince Philip sometimes finds it difficult to find his role.

Charles and Camilla are together for such a long time and so much pain could have been prevented had they been able to marry in the first place. But things went as they did at a time that was different from now. I wish that after more than 25 years since Diana died, people could find it in their hearts to let the past be and give Charles and especially Camilla a chance. The late queen wanted her to become queen. I wish that most of all Harry would let Diana's pain be Diana's and concentrate on not deserting his own children. Hugging his children doesn't make up for the solitude he's confining them to or their exposure to the toxicity of his and Meghan's relationship.

Major Shand was a wonderful man and a true gentleman. He brought his children up to be good people with honour, understanding and loyalty. Camillas life being married to Andrew PB was not easy at all but she showed loyalty to him until the relationship became untenable. Harry was always showing a 'nasty ' streak even as a child, his demanding of people he didn't know to get a rise out of them ( he tried it with me but, he failed) yet, his mother let him get away with it more as he became older. Perhaps she saw too much of herself in him. Camilla was totally different, she supported Harry and wanted the best for both the boys.

This particular video makes me ponder KC’s penchant for calling Harry “my darling BOY.” It now seems a little odd to be perpetually infantilizing him…unless the RF knows more about any diagnosed conduct/personality disorders he might have been treated for in his turbulent adolescence. There are different categories of “difficult” people we have all met. Perhaps Meghan was the one willing to put up with the “darling boy,” like Sarah Ferguson has been able to put up with “Mummy’s Favorite.” Yikes! Love your channel! Always so well-balanced.

I like Camila. Gal has stuck around, and put up with a lot. And guess what, she’s the one wearing the crown, and the tiaras. Love is love, and if things were different, maybe Charles and Camila could have married before Diana. What?! Henry running around a party naked? Like Vegas, and behind the pub? He needs to stop talking about his Willy. We do not need to know that tiny bit. Once the Queen Mum died, the Queen came around. But you’ve alluded to that before. It’s a bit odd, to think Camilas ex hubby, dated Princess Ann.

If the genders were reversed this would be the fairy tale princess story of living happily ever after with one's true love. Diana was more impressed by Charles status than the man himself, she was too romantic and maybe saw herself as the heroine in a fairy tale story. Also the age gap between Charles and Diana showed she needed a father figure more than a husband. I believe Charles tried to fall in love with Diana, but did she really love him for not fighting for their relationship or was she happier to let it go? Anyhow we will never know. Charles and Camilla are together now and a good fit for each other. I believe Charles feel more at ease with a more mature woman.

I believe he is more at ease with a woman that doesn't take the attention off of him because she is so ugly and trashy. It was a known fact how disgruntled he was because of Diana's popularity. Camilla's lack of star quality doesn't distract from HIM because he thinks HE is the star.

Diana`s parents were divorced and she grew up with her Father and Stepmother ,the romantic author Barbara Cartland. Apparently Diana loved the books , romantic gush all about young girls marrying older experienced men and changing them, so that love blossomed .I did try one once ,it was pretty unbelievable with a heroine disguised as a man for most of the time ( I can`t remember why) but her description was of a fabulous full figure and about 5 ft tall ! Barbara Cartland wrote and sold millions ,so people must have gobbled up the fiction and diana was not exactly classed as an intellectual.

I often feel when I hear Harry’s whining that in his small brain he thinks he is being his mum’s voice. So often he uses words that Diana had used in her panorama interview. Probably, he thinks that since she is no longer able to voice her hurt so it is upon him to do so. How is he concerned if Camilla is the third wheel in the marriage, it is not his marriage, it was his parents. Because Diana is no longer alive, he is trying to become her surrogate in his parents marriage. That is utterly weird.

I wonder why he chose to pivot his narrative in such a short period of time.

Diana was not a country type. Camilla is and Camilla has a different type of charm. Diana was city girl who had pretended to be what she was not. Once she had married. she dropped the act. Unfortunately he has the the title and the money to create maximum damage to the persons in his family...and to help discredit the causes of anti-racism, environmentalism, feminism etc..with his wife. Regardless of his dreadful book the scurrilous things he said about Camilla, the Queen (powerless pawn in his eyes) and Kate in his TV interviews are what the public hears and remembers. While analytics are good- there is no both sideism applicable to his behavior.

When I was younger, I was firmly in the Diana camp. Charles was an adulterer and Camilla was the 'other woman', deserving of ridicule and abuse. Now I'm middle aged myself and my viewpoint has changed. Diana absolutely wasn't without fault. By all accounts she took multiple lovers herself while still married. Charles took..one. The fault here lays with whoever didn't let him marry Camilla in the first place. She seems the perfect match for him.

Believe me, I am NOT a supporter of H and M. Their behavior has been terrible and disrespectful and they seem to deserve all of the derision that they get. It is amazing that they still have supporters and a platform of sorts. Now, I am not from the UK so I don't have a horse in this race but I have been a 40+ year fascinated observer of the British Monarchy and would note the following: There are different ways that people look at this but it does seem like Camilla is being rewarded for bad behavior. I know that many excuse this reward by saying that she "earned" it, the king needs her, Diana had affairs, blah, blah, blah. Camilla may be good company and easy to be around, but at the end of the day, there were children involved and a beloved women is dead. It has been argued that Diana wouldn't have been in that situation in Paris in the first place if it hadn't been for Charles and Camilla's "friendship". But the king was determined that Camilla would be Queen, regardless. All very extraordinary.

I've read many comments on this thread and think WOAAAAH - people are really making excuses for Camilla. How quickly people forget her wicked behavior such as, the many nights she visited Highgrove House to lure Charles outside for trysts in the fields, even when Diana was in residence, as told by one of Charles's servants. Never will I or anyone who sees the harm she caused to another woman excuse Camilla's "means to an end" in marrying Charles and becoming Queen of the UK.

I mean they hold traditions from Victoria too, but she then went into seclusion after Albert died. Alexandra didn't influence much. But Mary really has, from how they relate to the public, to securing the jewels (bc until her the royal family would borrow jewels), to the traditions they still keep today. And she was hand picked by Victoria. You could do several videos on things she influenced or started that carries on today.

Why do vey few people see that Diana had in her early marriage years, & maybe always, had mental health problems. Yes, she was very unhappy in her marriage as was her husband but her immature and histrionic, self destructive behaviour would have driven many husbands away. She seemed to finally find a way to find herself and make good choices in her endeavours but that marriage was doomed. I felt glad they divorced & Charles found a life partner as Diana might also have done. No one can make judgement about others relationships as what goes on behind closed doors is known only to those involved.
