I was excited to see the cards you made with the cute truck die! I have a Cricut cartridge that has a truck similar to the die you got in this kit. The little gifts, apples, pumpkins, and flowers definitely added to the cards. Great job on all of them.

I am watching your videos closely, trying to learn how to layer papers on to cards so they look good. You always have the nicest looking cards. I'm old and my eyes aren't very good anymore, so my card layers are usually a little crooked, but when I send them to friends, they don't seem to mind, so I guess crooked is okay. :) My "papers" seem to be lighter weight than yours so I will have to adjust for that somehow. I learned to use tape, rather than glue, to fasten them down so they don't warp. I've now found a place to get 12"x12" white cardstock to make my own 6"x6" card bases... which makes me really happy. With my eyesight failing, larger cards make it easier for me to see what I'm doing. - Just for information.... Those "crates" you keep referring to are pickup truck "rails"... side rails and back (or tailgate) rails. Today they are usually metal but back in the 1940s they were usually built from wood. They were/are used to tie a load down so it can't fall out of the truck bed.

Bazzill, Coredinations, and Darice are the brands they carry. I really don’t have a preference. I also own a ton of cardstock from when I used to do traditional scrapbooking. I’m sure the MFT cardstock is good quality. I like their products. 💖

Just received my Q&C pickup kit yesterday - lo and behold here's one of your videos using it! AMAZING!!! Thanks Kristi! Also, what is the background mat you use? Is it a glass mat? (I ordered the kit to make as a gift for my friend for a Christmas gift, she loves pick up trucks, and my intention was to give her the dies so she can have fun with the dies too, but now, I may keep the dies and order her another set! Good grief! :)

I know I’ll be using them year round. 🙂 My craft mat isn’t glass. My overhead lights would blind you if I used a glass mat. Lol! I bought it on Amazon. I just added a link to it in the description box. It’s double sided. When the light gray side gets too stained, I’ll flip it over to the darker gray side.

Love the variety that you show when using card sketches. When you add dimension items, do you still use A2 envelopes?

Holly Angel Thank you! As long as the dimension isn’t too thick, I can still use A2 envelopes. However the Queen & Company shaker cards are rather thick. They still fit in an A2 envelope, but it’s tight. They also require extra postage to mail, so I generally hand deliver the shaker cards. 🙂

Scraps & Ink Thank you! I had so much fun using this kit. The gray sweater is actually more of a sweatshirt, and it is really cute. I purchased it on our family vacation to Hawaii. It’s very comfy and I like that it’s a neutral color so it coordinates with most paper collections. The brand is Crazy Shirts.

Heather Holden Thank you! I re-use the printed card sketches all the time, so I’m not ready to part with them. But you can always print your own. What is the name of the tool you use to pick up the little die cut pieces with? Also what were you using to store your dies in?

Kenny Bobo The tool is a jewel picker. I do have a link provided in the description box where you can purchase it. I store my dies on magnetic sheets I purchase from home improvement stores. They are intended as vent covers. I cut them down, adhere the magnets to cardstock, then store the sheet in a page protector. Works perfectly for me. I do show this storage on my recent Craft Studio tour video. 😊
