Amazing how a sweet simple solo can have such nuances and subtle inflections. But, then again it is Brian May. So glad to have been a youngster to appreciate the musicians of those days and being a nascent guitarist at the same time.

For the longest time, I actually thought Crazy Little Thing was an old 50's song, because it sounded just like something you would have heard back in Elvis day. I know Freddie wrote it in honor of Elvis, and did a great job recreating that feeling. Elvis would have loved the song if it had been written back in those days. It would have also been a big hit back then too.

It’s so annoying when you spend ages trying to master this solo in time let alone to the right frets and strings with the right technique but when you’re completely self taught guitarist of a father whose been playing for eons longer than you’ve been alive plays it and uses different strings and different frets, I mean I know the same note can be found in many different s-it’s at the same pitch but I mean you learn one way and then your left asking, a]have I got it right? I must because I’m using the same strings in the same places as May and it sounds right.... but then someone better that]n you at playing the instrument comes along and shows you a different way.... I’m just ironically annoyed by that....
