I've been playing guitar for 55 years and without question, in my opinion, Brian May is the greatest rock guitarist of them all. Why? His unique sound and tone combined with his rhythm. His solos still retain rhythm and hardly any guitarists even think about that. Then we have his phrasing, his melody and of course how many other players made their guitar from a fireplace? The guy really is a genius.
