If you want to hear some of my original music you can go here. I need to get back to recording. I did this in my bedroom, all instrument and vocal i did myself in one or two takes. It's really just sketches of song. Todd

You need to also check out “Save Me” also live at Montreal in 1981. I love how Brian and Freddie switch off piano duties.

This Montreal concert was amazing, you can pick up any video of that event and you won't go wrong. Save Me can be another excellent choice.

This is their best recorded performance in my opinion. Tight, so tight. Freddie's vocals at their peak.

Queen was so forward thinking and ahead of their time in so many ways, from the first promotional video ever produced for Bohemian Rhapsody to the high quality of the film they used to record all of their live performances. Its hard to believe the clarity of this video could have been filmed 41 years ago. No auto tune, nothing but pure talent onstage. Every video is a gift that will last forever 💫

One of my favorite queen live recording, And that's saying a lot because they were a pretty good live band, to obscenely understate

One thing I always notice, is that Roger makes his drumming seem effortless. He doesn't flail about, or dramatise it much, but thumps away on them with the best of them. Singing a lot of the time too!

Queen had authorized a film company to film their 2 concerts in Montreal in 1981. Unfortunately, the film crew had turned out to be exceeding annoying by getting in the band's way backstage and onstage. The director even went so far as to lecture the audience to control themselves during the concert and not to leave their seats or they would be removed. This really pissed off the band. They loved their audience to join in them singing and moving along with the music. All of the members of the band were angry but according to Brian,, he had never seen Freddie so angry. This situation also resulted in the band banning their manager from their presence for a while because they blamed him for arranging the filming. The film company intended to combine the footage from both nights to produce the best visual for what was intended to be a movie of the concert to be played in theatres. Freddie knew about that plan so he intentionally changed to different outfits during the different nights of the concert to purposely screw up the continuity. As you see, the audience was a bit hesitant during Freddie's call and response. Freddie was working hard to try to loosen up the audience. To help, Roger began to drum the beat and then John joined in on his bass to help get the audience to respond. Finally, Brian joined in and it turned into a bit of an impromptu jam session. Then Freddie smoothly shifted the control to Roger on the drums to segue into Dragon Attack.

You should just watch the entire Live in Montreal 1981 concert--there's also a version that includes ongoing commentary by Brian and Roger that is fun and interesting.

Montreal is for sure one of their best concerts ever, but the film crew kept instructing the audience to calm down during recording, which obviously annoyed the band! The version is this at Milton Keynes is even better - mainly because the crowd’s energy is electric, and Freddie always fed off of that!

Would love to see you do a reaction to "This Loss" by Korn In the bridge of the song the singer did vocals that he said were inspired by Freddie Mercury
