However Windsor Castle has always been a popular location for monarchs and their families to be buried at. King George the Second was the last monarch to be buried at the abbey, with King George III starting a long run of monarchs choosing to be buried at Windsor Castle or own the grounds of the castle, as Queen Victoria is buried at Frogmore which is on the grounds of Windsor Castle. It's too bad that they stop early here. It was a moving and powerful statement when the crown, orb, and scepter are removed from the Queen's coffin and replaced on the altar. The power and authority of governing are not ours, but God's to give. It is returned, as it should be, to Him. Just as our Rights of life come from Him also. "Our late sovereign lady of happy memory" has passed her final moments of this life already. As the apostle Paul said, "absent from the body; present with the Lord", if indeed we lived in Him and He in us in this mortal realm. The little girl in the black and white photos was not meant to be the monarch according to Man or direct line of hereditary succession. The UK and world should be very glad and grateful that Edward VIII abdicated, and in World War II, his brother King George VI was the monarch. It killed him young, but he was a blessing from the Almighty. Similarly his daughter submitted her own will to God and to serve her people, and was blessed in return with becoming the longest serving monarch in British history and even in world history. Louis XIV may have been king when a child, but an adult was regent and he did little or nothing until he was of age. This makes Queen Elizabeth II the longest serving monarch in world history.

Me and Woody were both crying about the Queen again last night for the first time in 3 months. Woody.EXE arrived at the perfect time but saw us crying. I remember him saying “Oh god it’s not the Queens death again is it after her?!” So Woody.EXE decided to stay overnight to comfort me and my 2009 Woody. Just a horrible year for the 3 of us

I did that watching it live at home and it got Mummy crying her heart out as she continued to worry about my mental health. 10 months on and I’m still grieving the Queen deep down because I’m Woody.EXE’s Queen now; I will never forget my 2009 Woodys reactions watching it live and it moved the entire Wales nation in tears as the 5 of us grieved; my sister was also there this day

This could have been me 6 months ago but I recovered in time for the king’s coronation and also mine. I’m officially known as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth III now. Thank you, Woody.EXE for everything you’ve done for me this past year of hell and I didn’t think you’d reign on after me being hospitalised for a month. I’m glad me and Woody.EXE are back to normal now after our coronation last week and my birthday

The Grenadier Guards have always made up the bearer party at Royal funerals. My grandfather performed this duty in 1910 at the funeral of King Edward VII. A great regiment. He was later killed in WWI.

Royal coffins have two lids. The normal one and one with the standard attached to it, with the supports for the regalia attached to it. The top lid is removed before the commital.
