Marc can, as in his Nessum Dorma. For me, it's hard to watch. I miss Farouk/ Freddie so much still. I was a new RN when we were taken siege by AIDS. Freddie's fight was heightened by his desire for privacy and to try to look well when he was so, so sick. I think that when I feel this intense sorrow for him, it's for all of my beautiful patients. This was before anti-metabolite therapy. They all died then. I loved them all. And I loved Freddie. I do still

If Adam can get the crowd going like Freddie could, then yeah it makes sense to get that energy going required for these songs. Hats off to him for doing that and from the footage I see he did a great job emulating that energy that Freddie could do. I think Marc is spot on and if Queen writes new music, it'd be great to have Marc sing some of them and maybe even Adam as well. That'd be cool.

I've said a lot about Marc over the past year. This guy is amazing. He's far more animated than he was in the first tour. He sang in a professional band for 10 years where he wasn't required to perform. He's humble, instead of the ego-maniac that Freddie was. And he's trying to be himself rather than a Freddie imitator. And that's a rather fine line to walk. He catches crap for not being Freddie, which is unfair to say the least. As I have said in private communication to Mr. May, Queen didn't loose the right to exist because Freddie died. And Queen never needed to get another Freddie. They needed to get their sound back. That is what Marc brings. And if you keep that in perspective, we're all incredibly lucky this happened.

Milla Nova That may or may not be true. Kiss sells without Ace and Peter. But, they don't sell as well. They don't sound the same. The group dynamic is different, etc. I always argued that Queen needed their sound back. They haven't had it since Freddie passed and that is largely because they didn't want to be doing what Kiss is now doing - pardon if I frame it in a way they have not. But it seems rather obvious. If I'm going to pay to see Ace, I want to see Ace - not some dweeb in an Ace suit. That is where I think the major difference is . With Marc, you don't have a guy running round the stage in a leotard and leather jacket with arrows all round. He's just a guy with a voice that lets him sing the stuff the way Freddie sang it. It sounds like Queen. The thing really missing is the Mercury expertise. You'll never get that back. Freddie, afterall and like all of us, was a unique individual. What he contributed to Queen went far beyond simply his voice. You can't get all that other stuff back. The best you can do is get the sound. That's my whole problem in all of this. The one thing they can do, they won't do. It's slightly madenning; but, there it is.

I find it very interesting that Marc started implementing aspects of Freddie's physical performance without it looking unnatural or forced. I understand his want or need to make his own mark, but really if he decided to put on the yellow jacket and take up residence in Vegas doing a Queen tribute show, he could make a rather nice living for the rest of his days.

Marc has said in interviews that the music itself lends to certain actions and he allows them to come naturally without mimicry. if you watch Marc in his band Downhere from 2006 to 2011 you won't see any different "poses" than he does today. Although he was usually playing guitar or keyboards, you'll still see fist pumps and so on.

First of all it IS true because obviously no one can perfectly be Freddie because everyone is different, and he is the closest thing humanity has given us. 2nd in correlation to what I have just said, not opinion, fact. Brian and Roger are hellbent on proving they are worth their salt on their own merit, without Freddie. Having Marc front them would bring all the attention to Marc and Freddie yet again. Lambert doesn’t upstage them.

Queen had a concert in Canada in the early 80's... maybe Marc is Freddie's son from one of those concert goers... just hoping.. it's a rare phenomenon that someone looks and sounds like somebody without blood relation... To all of you hating on Adam Lambert, you gotta understand that Roger and Brian didn't want a cover version of Freddie, they wanted someone who could do the songs justice and still be unique and have his own style. Adam Lambert is a great singer, his voice has an insane range. I don't like his own songs, but I think he does a great job singin with Queen

+Bruno Naletto Bruno, if you saw Marc live, you would see that he is an artist in his own right and does not try to impersonate Freddie. More so, his voice is beyond incredible! Lambert, on the other hand, is quite average in comparison and has no sensibility beyond 2009. Take his range. There are many amazing singers who outdo him in that department, such as Freddie himself, Prince, Bowie, Axl Rose, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Brendon Urie, and others. So, Adam's range is not that insane! Also, he is flat half the time when live. And his "own" songs are written for him. Marc writes his own, both music and lyrics, has a great range, but more so, he has amazing versatility, which allows him to sing pretty much any genre of music he chooses.

I wouldnt want a sound alike either but Lambert's still not the voice I would choose. I think it was based on the ability to sell tickets and get venues they couldnt with Paul Rodgers. Its just sad, You Have the remaining Members touring with an inferior singer, and Martel touring with a band that sounds similar but is just off enough to sound rough in spots. Putting Martel with Roger and Brian would be the obvious choice for true Queen fans, but it seems to be all about the Money,Why have two bands out performing subpar shows instead of one amazing Show with the right group of People. Money Money Money!

To all you guys who write that Marc should be with Queen, listen. To Brian, Roger and John - Freddie was so much more than just a strong voice. Their relationships were so intimately spiritual, that such a semblance would be a mockery against Freddie. It is not about likeness and sales alone - it is about friendship. Listen to the "One by one" where Brian says that he never really said goodbye - that is because he didn't and never will. They needed a singer with wide range - not another Freddie. Ps. You mean the kind of friendship that allows you to completely abandon Mary (Freddie's friend, former lover and the heir to his fortune) as soon as Freddie was dead. By all accounts, the only one who truly remained faithful to Freddie was John. So, nah. They chose a singer who delivers millions of fans (aka sold tickets) and the so-called American market, which Queen never seemed to conquer when Freddie was alive. If they were thinking about Freddie, they wouldn't be still to this day milking his image and his heritage. God knows, between all the songs written by May and Taylor, they have plenty of songs to cover.
