It’s worth noting that Freddie had been diagnosed as HIV positive a couple of years before Queen began recording this album in 1989, and by the time they began recording the Innuendo album, his illness was progressing into AIDS. Just the band, Freddie’s partner, and some of his closest friends knew about his illness at the time. I think they all knew his time was growing short and they all put so much work and energy into this album so that Freddie’s swan song would be as beautiful and memorable as possible. In hindsight this was Freddie’s goodbye to the world and the band’s fans. You can also hear that fierce, passionate vocal in “The Show Must Go On”. It was recorded in 1990, when Freddie’s condition was in noticeable decline, but Brian May himself has said that Freddie still took a drink of vodka and absolutely slayed the vocal when it came time for him to record. It was released as a single about a month before Freddie’s death. (Freddie only confirmed the reports about his health a day before he died in November 1991, through a statement issued by Queen’s manager Jim Beach.)

From the hard driving rock & roll of "Dragon Attack", "Stone Cold Crazy", "Ride The Wild Wind" or "Tie Your Mother Down" to the hauntingly beautiful "Lilly Of The Valley", "My Melancholy Blues" or "Who Wants To Live Forever" to the campy "Seaside Rendezvous", "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" or "I'm Going Slightly Mad" to timeless anthems "We Are The Champions", "We Will Rock You" or "Bohemian Rhapsody" to the many lesser known but truly spectacular gems like "All Dead All Dead", "In The Lap Of The Gods", "Flick Of The Wrist", "Mother Love" or "Innuendo" I love them all. I can easily proclaim without hesitation that Queen never released a bad song. Every song they produced is a good song in some way, many ways or in every way. A potencia, energia e sensações que esta música transmite é fantástica. De lembrar que o Freddy Mercury estava em estado terminal e é capaz de uma interpretação destas.
