What do you get when you catch the best frontman ever singing a song by the king of rock and roll? This gold. Freddie revived Elvis's hit in a more rockish kind of way, and I think we are all happy Queen thought it should be. LONG LIVE ROCK!
@philipchek4 жыл бұрын
"more rockish kind of way" ? No sure. The "old" rock style as its own links with some older roots of blues. The "rock" isn't on how loud you play. But anyway, I love this Queen performance, rock isn't a competition, it's a matter of sincerity, I think both Elvis and Freddie are equal on this matter, and about their respective voices, both are as magic :)

Более интелегентного исполнения рокен - рола я не видела и не слышала. Два года как узнала про Queen , смотрю и слушаю, реву о судьбе Фредди, как жестоко, аморально убили"в спину"такого гения музыки. Прости Фредди

If you mean when he threw them to the floor and that, as far as I know it is not in this one, it was on the November 19th or 20th of the same year (1974). Here's a link to a video where this happens (approximately 1 minute before the video ends): kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5TdiZR5jLVmqK8

What I like is that more than fifteen years later, they still played one of those good "old" rock standards on stage, a way to say that their music came from roots that they - and us - shoud not forget.

Yeah okay 👌 Kid. Freddie can't touch this Song or any of Elvis Song's. As nobody can touch Elvis's vocal Range and soul and passion. And I'm a Freddie Fan but I have him behind ELVIS as #2. So sit down Bandwagon Fan who watches a Queen Movie and talks stupid. Elvis Presley started it all and kick started Rocking Fucking Roll which is why Freddie for years Paid Tribute along with Queen Singing a bunch of Elvis Song's at everyone of there Concerts. Even Writing Crazy Little Thing Called Love as a Tribute for Elvis. So Freddie is The Queen but don't ever forget who The Real King is & that's Elvis. Don't ever speak out of line again Son LoL TCB RIP Elvis & Freddie 2 Greats I wish we had you too back alone with Johnny Cash and take could take all the trash we have today in Music.
@musicfromval5 жыл бұрын
You all can keep on arguing over this forever, and the universal truth is that Elvis is the King (I might be executed if I say otherwise), but he had nothing on Freddie and it would be silly to dispute it. He didn't write his own songs and his voice wasn't as good as Freddie's. He was among the first rock'n'rollers, yes, as perceived by the average folk, but it DOES NOT mean he had any advantage over his successors musically or vocally. End of story.
