Bought the 12” when it came out at Dance Tracks in NYC. Indeed the golden age! This is such a stellar record, and so very reflective of the quality of house music/the club scene/the zeitgeist of the early 90s. I’ve dropped it into countless sets over the years & it always makes me nostalgic/emotional. Used to rock it w Nuyorican Soul “The Nervous Track”, AMCA’s “Techno Powers” and so on...

Believe it or not, this is actually my favorite Latifah song, although I don't really consider it rap song. My favorite rap song of hers would be Latifah's Had It Up To Here. This here is pure magic, that you should listen to while out cruising in your car with the windows down and sunroof open or the top down.

Agree, it’s been my fav as well since the day it was released. I’ve always considered it borderline house - with its funky breaks & jazz inflections. Still have the 12” & I’ve played it 100s of times in the middle of proper underground sets. This was the golden age of house music & the club scene (esp in NYC!!)
