Such a different, beautiful QM2 video with great music. We've watched a bunch in our research for a now booked QM2 transAtlantic voyage, and this is one of the best. It is unusual in emphasizing the views OFF the ship as well as on, watching NYC recede and Southampton appear, watching the ship's wake and the waves on the sides, excellent photography of the birds nearby, just super. This video catches and presents one of the KEY reasons we chose this voyage as our first ever "cruise," a week's worth of sea days watching the ocean go by and relaxing. Unlike other ships and cruise lines, no climbing walls, no zip lines, no water slides, no 5-6,000 cruisers jamming hallways, no thank you!! And I don't know of a better way to adjust to the time difference with the UK before proceeding on our vacation there - super relaxing. Thanks so much.

At 2:10, that's an important reminder that even in the dog days of August, the mid-Atlantic can be cold! No matter how hot back home, be sure to take some sweaters (jumpers) and jackets with you.

Wow ! What a beautiful professionally produced video !! The Camera work, lighting and colors all first rate !!! You even picked up the beautiful wood grains and textures of the wood paneling!! Congratulations Rob !! Is your middle name Spielberg? The QM2 is a magnificent elegant ocean liner ! Traveling QM2 transatlantic again next year. It seems we are now dealing with a generation of people who just nitpick and complain about every little thing !!! They need to grow up and get a backbone. Try enjoying life folks , it goes by quickly !! The spa is closed, deal with it ! The bread on your sandwich is a little dry .? Whatever! Life isn’t always perfect. It’s not meant to be. Everything can’t be the way you want it on a cruise !!! I’m glad to see you enjoy your voyage Rob !! Thanks again for a beautiful classy video ! 👍❤️🇬🇧 MikeW.

Brilliant thanks and lovely choice of backing music. Especially enjoyed it as not something this seasickness prone lass is likely to do. Had to laugh near the end as the ship coming out of Southampton, Wallenius Willhelmson or some such, is the same ship we spotted off Caloundra a few weeks ago with friends and were arguing over the spelling (comparing our long distance eyesight) so looked the name up! Or they have a few branded with the same co name.

@@FrothNinja thanks indeed. My itinerary is open and will go where the road takes me. I have an extensive list of places to visit all over the UK, and at the time of writing am in Amesbury, about to re-visit the Stonehenge ritual landscape. I was last here 30 years ago. Are you now UK based?

@@walkaboutwithrob If you get a chance squeeze in a visit to the parish church (medieval graffiti amongst other things), Wood Henge, and Durrington Walls. These are quite easy to get to on foot from Amesbury. That's a relative question. Naturally, your personal budget will provide an enormous part of that answer. However, realize that you're essentially staying in a luxury hotel with all food and entertainment provided for a week. I'd posit that it's less expensive than staying at a luxury hotel for a week--especially when you factor in all of your entertainment (there's TONS of it!) and more food than you can possibly consume.

@TsaGo_19123 ай бұрын
The Titanic was an Ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2 is an Ocean liner. Both ships are built to cross the Ocean. And the QM2 definitely keeps the traditions of the old Ocean liners alive. But the QM2 is built almost 100 years later, three times bigger, faster and obviously a modern Ocean liner from the 21st century. The Titanic didn't make a single Transatlantic Crossing. The QM2 will finish her 401th Transatlantic Crossing tomorrow 😊

The ship is getting old and boring for all 3 ships. Just came back from 16 days Cunard. It degraded a lot. food quality and quantity BAD, no lobster. especially at the Lido. Super short handed. It is at the Carnival cruise style. No dance host, no queens room Hostess, no sequence dance, no professional dancer exhibition, 8 kids running around in the dance floor while dancing, etc. will not recommend for this price (we are Diamond on Cunard, not a newbie)
@theoztreecrasher26472 жыл бұрын
Probably best to just sell your percentage ownership in Cunard. Should be a few Russian Oligarchs on the lookout for a weekend cruiser that the Western pirates aren't likely to board with drawn cutlasses. 🤔🤪
