I crossed the Atlantic 14 times as a child, on the Queen Elizabeth and the first Queen Mary. I loved it even when there was a storm. But it never snowed. Thanks for bringing back memories !

We are on this ship for 4 weeks in November. Two transatlantic crossings and two weeks in the Caribbean can't wait now. Will need a diet once we get home.

'Will need a diet once we get home' - You certainly will! The desserts, in particular, are impossible to resist 😊 We were on the Eastbound crossing three weeks ago and absolutely loved everything about it. The weather was a little kinder than it is in this video, though 😎

Wouldn't get me on one of those things surrounded by all that water, doesn't matter how big the ship is you are at the mercy of the water.

It's not for everyone, but the QM2 has a lot of safeguards that other ships don't. Still, it's not everyone's enjoyment.

My husband & I travelled on QM 2 Maiden Voyage. The waves were coming up to the Restaurant windows, I think it is on Deck 11. Fantastic Voyage

On crossing in 2019 and 2022 I noticed waves washing over the windows on deck 2 [The Golden Lion pub] Deck 11 would be 100 feet or so higher.

The main restaurant on QM2 (the Brittania) is on decks 2-3. It's not at all uncommon to see waves hitting the windows on deck 2, even in the summertime.

There's no restaurant on Deck 11. Unless you include the Boardwalk Cafe the highest is the Verandah Restaurant on Deck 8, but as someone else has mentioned it's more likely you were in the Britannia Restaurant on Deck 2 or 3. If the waves had been hitting Deck 11, I think you'd have been upside down 🤔😉
