This wouldn't be taught in western history classes, because it proves the ingenuity of enslaved people and the fact that they were not rollover bootlickers. Our children must learn about their ancestors and race, from the perspectives of the Afrocentric world. This is yet another interesting topic.

Thank you very much for our history. I grew up learning about doctor David Livingston and many more. I thank God to show me the right path of my ancestors history during my life time.

As an Adu myself , I can say her husband's name could be Kojo Adu . I am Kwame Adu and my father is Kofi Adu .

The dr. makes one big mistake . The word cimarron meamt cattle because the dehumanizer saw us black people as cattle/cows/horses to do the work. Thats why they treated us like that. So we were callled run away cattle not run away slaves. Big difference. In Surinam we also have marrons who today are more African than a lot of Africans living in Africa
@alkebulanman32802 жыл бұрын
As far as I understand, the word cimarron means "unruly"...hard to control...like the people whom they tried to enslave. This aptly describes the Jamaican people.

@@alkebulanman3280 no.the jews who were the biggest slave traders/dehumanizers have a word that is ¨goyim¨ and with this word they called us. The word means human cattle. Our ancestors were called runaway cattle. Study some real history and not his story.
