I had been looking forward to rewatching this film, but it looks like it's gone, or private now? Is this happening to anyone else or...? I respect the creators decision if they decided to remove the film but I just didn't know it had become unavailable

You must be thinking of a Teaser and not a Trailer. The standard runtime for a trailer is roughly 2 minutes. A teaser is a minute or less. We have some extra time on the end for KZbin only to give people some additional information. It follows the film festival and theatrical trailer standards.
