Brian and Roger have said in later interviews that while they were working on One Vision, Freddie was singing lyrics off of a Chinese Take-Out menu. And that's why when they sing this song live, the last words Freddie sings are often "fried chicken." An inside joke the band loved..... 😃

Roger has stated that Everyone thinks of Freddie as more of FRONTMAN but Roger has always said that he was a muscian . Watching t his documentary on this song, you can see the musician in him and all of them.

Doctor Brian May built his guitar when he was 17 with his dad called the red special. John built an amp with things that were laying around and people still don't know to this day how he built it when they tried to duplicate it or replicate it. Brian uses a Sixpence as a guitar pick he sent it works much better for him. Thank you for all your hardwork you are appreciated 😍

The guys said at one point during the recording of the song Freddie was just reading menu items off a Chinese take out menu while the rest of them were recording their parts.

Great reaction. We are so fortunate that there are a number of documentaries about Queen making music, interviews, live performances, etc. They are always fun to watch. You mentioned the reaction channels are part of you building your resume for radio, etc. Funny you said that because when you first began the video today and I heard your voice I thought that you have the perfect voice for radio.....deep, soothing and you speak words with a lot of clarity. Wish you the best with that.

One song you will absolutely love is entitled "Somebody To Love" - it HAS to be the version performed In Montreal 1981 - you will love this song!!!! This is a live performance and showcases the many talents of Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. I really enjoy your style, and have subscribed. Sincerely, Anne Craycroft

May I suggest the making of video of Under Pressure? It shows the story & the process. Best of all, the actual duet of Freddie & David together. The usual video is a mix of Freddie at Live Aid& David at Freddie 's memorial concert in 1992. That concert performance was great on It's own, with Annie Lennox doing Freddie 's part.

Love your reactions, thanks! LOVE Queen!! Now... you must not miss out on Angelina Jordan. Quincey Jones says she's the best new talent since Micheal Jordan! Born Jan. 10, '06 in Norway, she was born a jazz prodigy. She'll capture your hear & blow your mind. Family works to give her a normal childhood to the extent possible, so now that she's signed with Republic Records her fans are waiting with baited breath for more than her original single they've released, "Million Miles". She won Norway's got talent at age 8, and was finally persuaded to appear on AGT Champions singing her own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody! Was given a Golden Buzzer for it, and QueenOfficial reTweeted her performance with their congrats - now she owns the copyright on it! Here's a playlist that's chronological starting with #10. The first 9 are originals, special features & AGT performances. Please, ENJOY!!! kzbin.info/aero/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc

Love this video. It's so fun to see Queen at work in the studio. Such a treat. You can really see how much Freddie was involved in the recording process. And how well they work together. They definitely had rows but they always worked out. Only Freddie can wear a yellow shirt and red pants and look incredible. Also love how he wore his pants with the top button undone. So Freddie Thank you for another great reaction.

The message of this song was for One World, One union, No black & No white, one religion etc. That message has now been lost as people are so oversensitive to everything these days. By highlighting ever comment as being racist or homophobic or offensive we are creating more division by pigeon holing every part of society. Race, colour, religion and sexual orientation should be completely irrelevant and then we can have the one sweet union that has always been dreamed of. I like or dislike someone purely on their personality and don't care a jot about anything else and I learned the value of that way back in the seventies. Many Queen songs have that same message.

Freddie or anyone in the band would rarely tell you what a song was about. They wanted their songs to be just as much your song, so by telling you what they felt or meant while making it, would take away whatever feeling you put on it when first hearing it. When asked what a song meant, Freddie would answer "What did it mean to you?" I love how it ends with "Fried Chicken" since they created the musical notes first, they sang a Chinese menu to it to use as words...lol. Then when they came up with the lyrics, Freddie wanted to leave a part of the menu in as joke.

Hi Patrick! Just started watching your reaction videos. You do a great job. I to am a big Queen and Freddie Mercury fan. There is a British musician by the name of Fil from Wings of Pegasus. He also does reaction videos from a musician's perspective. His reaction of the Live Aid concert is exceptional and the insight he gives on Queen's professionalism is extraordinary. I think you would really enjoy it. Queen stole the show at Live aid. That was my generation and I watched it live that day at home in Philadelphia. It was broadcast live from Wembly Stadium in England and from Philadelphia, Pa. I just sat and watched 5 of your reactions videos of Queen and really enjoyed them. Keep up the good work!

I’m from Houston so we are neighbors and I totally agree with Freddie what he said. I really really do wish he was still alive. If you’re still going to do things for women then I pick: Aaliyah (today it’s been 20 years since she’s been gone) Janet Jackson, Gladys Knight, because she’s Aaliyah’s auntie & not a lot of people know’s that’s she was the first one on Soul Train before it got big

Brian and Roger have both talked about the possibility to be more personal when they make solo stuff - and one can hear it - well known is Brians own version of Too much love will kill you - it was very personal - and it is obvious in his version - take a listen if you haven't done it yet. Thank you for a Wise reaction - I like that. you are not putting a show on as many reactors do.

Not sure why one vision wasn't a big hit in the States,I remember the anticipation of their first record after Live Aid in the UK..it hit top 10 everywhere else.It seems heavy enough for America and Freddie's vocals are superb. The album didn't hit top 40 either except on one of the charts.Other UK bands like Genesis and Tears for Fears were having number ones.Iron Eagle was overshadowed by Top Gun and probably got little airplay after the Break Free debacle. All a bit of a mystery as I love the album, thankfully they got back on track with The Miracle as a "classic" band.
