Well she wakes up at 7, has tea, reads newspapers, has a bath and gets ready for the day, goes down to breakfast and eats Kellogg's cornflakes out of a Tupperware container lol, goes to her sitting room where her private secretary brings her the red box containing state papers. She reads them and signs whatever requires it. Then he takes lunch, works at her desk again. Replies to letters and all. Then if it's a Wednesday she'll meet the PM, or if she has an audience with any minister or head of state she'll attend that. Then she again works at her desk, takes tea, walks her dogs, sometimes goes riding, if there's a public engagement she'll carry that out. Then she again works at her desk and then when it's finally dinner she has it, sometimes watches TV, or solves crosswords, or calls family and friends, or plays scrabble and then goes to sleep. That's a regular day in her life.

CGMPNB OK, you don't like it but tell us, what other world figure can bring smiles of genuine happiness to the people she meets? Take a look at the faces in the crowds and say, with you hand on your heart, that she has an appeal a mere political president wouuld give a year of his life to have. The Queen is treated with respect because she is our Head of State but she is a very humble, Christian lady and you have got a completely incorrect view of her and of us.

Old lady with a big salary that spends 300+ of her days a year at events and diplomatic meetings being our biggest show of presence we have really. She holds respect amongst world leaders and can influence many things with just a quiet conversation. Not only that she is still technically our commander and chief, it is her majesty's armed forces and they swear allegiance to the crown not to the government. All while being 91. Wonder if you'll be so obligated to do work at 91. Probably not.
