It's a concert, that's totally normal. He sings a lot of songs during a concert, he starts losing his voice, try to scream for an hour and you'll see. Unlike to the studio recording, where he sings only one song in multiple partitions. So he only sings all that phrase where he hits that note and then stops for minutes, maybe an hour.
@linobarzoni95876 жыл бұрын

@anam.fuentes96596 жыл бұрын

@GrantSchinto Жыл бұрын
@@MrFusion Totally agree. I've never worked in radio but my guess is starting around 1990 (the first year I remember ever hearing the term "classic rock"), the classic rock formatted stations only played the songs that were either released as singles or on greatest hits compilations. It's like they forgot all the many, many OTHER songs from these bands that also got a ton of airplay back when they first came out. "Dragon Attack" and "Need Your Loving Tonight" are exactly the same in that regard. I used to hear them all the time. Today, only Queen fans are familiar with them.

It has the energy and it is lovely to hear them do it live. But this version doesn't groove half as much as the original studio version. It is not very tight and a bit sloppy in a 'rock' way, which does not suit the character of the song. Just my opinion.
@saxpride1006 жыл бұрын
The studio version almost feels like a Roger Taylor solo song, and it makes sense because he does a majority of the instruments in the studio version. The live version, since everyone is involved, feels more like a legit Queen song. Maybe that's why the groove feels so different.
@WupWup685 жыл бұрын

Queens problem from 1980 onwards was that the production of their records sucked... muted guitars and too pop sounding. When they played their song live they were always way better than the recorded versions...just like this song. Its an all out rocker that gets the right treatment live.
