Roger: we had this huge circular lighting rig Brian: it was a pizza oven Lights these days are still very warm so I can’t even imagine! Queen pioneered live music in so many aspects - more than we’ll ever know, I believe. They continue to put everything into the shows. Love these episodes. A great idea.

To be honest, I never paid attention to stage lighting, although I think that this is really hard and necessary work (especially in those days). Because under beautiful lighting, Diamonds sparkle even brighter. But with this case, the main thing is not to overdo it, as Roger hinted. The coolest video memont 5:06. And in this video you can see the knight playing the guitar! Although if I don't see a knight playing drums soon, I'll be very outraged! -_0

the lighting rig on the crazy tour was imo their very best and my absolute favourite, i got to see it close up at the glasgow apollo 👑✊🇬🇧

My mentor used to do stage hand work for various musicians, including Queen during their American and Canadian leg of the tour, and he' still never seen a lighting rig like the one they used back in the 1980's, and he said the temperature got to around 80 degrees on stage, and still says it's an engineering marvel, especially the one Queen used in the late 1980's, and has never seen anything to date.
