Brian wrote this song for the Queen Soundtrack for the movie Highlander. It is such a beautiful song. The main character in the movie is immortal and he has had to watch everyone he loves age and die. He tries to decide if he can allow himself to love again, knowing he will lose this piece of himself as well. Thank you for your reaction.

You made my day! What a great reaction to this masterpiece composed by Brian May and performed impeccably by Queen. The emotion conveyed by this song gives me goosebumps each and every time I hear it. Freddie's vocals in the entire Budapest (Hungary) concert are superb...and the way he sings this particular piece is simply astounding. This song is later in their career together with Freddie. To my knowledge, they only performed it on stage during their Magic Tour throughout Europe in the Summer,1986. Thanks for a wonderful reaction.

You might also like the Official Studio Version of this. In that and the album release, it opens with Brian singing the first version and Brian playing piano!!! Then Freddie comes in behind him like an angel in light. It's got orchestra, choir, candles!!! Quite a thing. Yes, I love Queen live, but still- this misses Brian's solo singing.
