Quick version: A long time ago, Vinny started using a program to corrupt video games and then he would try to play them. This used to be a time consuming process with mixed results, so eventually the fans started helping. They would improve the software and start corrupting the games themselves to find the *perfect* results. Now they like to stockpile corruptions and Vinny will dedicate long segments to showcasing them.

so something vinny's known for is corrupting games and in a nutshell what that means is imagine taking the code of the game an fucking with it until it starts breaking. a very old and famous corruption is an old pre-2010 meme where people tilted the cartridge of the nintendo 64 game, goldeneye 007, which caused all the models to freak out

Corruptions are made by taking a game's code and absolutely BLASTING it, 1s and 0s all over randomly changed. Obviously, this can very easily make a game completely unplayable, as in you can't even run it, so corrupter programs have tools to limit what gets scrambled and by how much. The corruptions in this stockpile were curated by fans and community members, filtering down to the most entertaining ones, instead of Vinny spending hours manually experimenting with the program himself, which is how this series of his used to go.

It's important to know that this corruption was made for Halloween earlier this year, but he couldn't play it until later for whatever reason. But I'm very glad to see some more Vinny on this channel! If you want a more light-hearted video of his to watch, I'd love to see his video on the game Trombone Champ!

A corruption Vinny does is a intentional game glitch/bug (A corruption) basically, his viewers sometimes send in corruptions or Vinny sometimes does it live himself, it's been a series for a while now, basically it's like the game is breaking and falling apart, like certain modern game releases but worse, I've found his content quite entertaining over the years, sometimes a corrupted game is the term "Clown vomit" or the funny stuff you saw in this video

basically, these corruption stockpile videos are vinny playing normal games, except he's using a program to make them glitch out a lot, which can be funny or outright horrifying. most corruptions are sent in by viewers i would recommend more of these, and maybe even something by joel, like windows destruction. similar premise, except he's destroying a windows OS with viruses, instead of a game

As far as I understand it, this whole corruption thing consists out of 2 parts: the game itself and the corruption tool You can play the game as normal, and then you can use the tool to force game play certain scenes of the game, save/load any game state, and you can randomly introduce glitches into anything, as well as save those glitches for others to experience. Which Vinny in this video is doing - playing various game sections semi-randomly created by a team of people over a span of months It's like evolution! But it works by manually selecting for funny glitches, instead of naturally selecting for positive mutations
