16:23 this can actually pretty much be explained easily! This design of final design of Shadow in SA2 wasn’t thought of just yet. In fact, his name wasn’t even going to be Shadow at first. If I remember right, his name was going to be Terios The Hedgehog. His design was actually very similar to Sonic, except he had longer quills and a scar over his right eye. From behind, and at other angles, he would look like Sonic. His fur was also a Navy Blue, if I remember right. However, somewhere in the process, they didn’t want to make him look too much like Sonic, so they scrapped his design and we got the Shadow that we all know and love! So somewhere in the script they kept the plot of Shadow being confused for Sonic most likely because the script was finalized before Shadow’s design was changed.

If I remember correctly, his beta design was close to his final design, so there shouldn’t be any reason Amy would confuse him for Sonic from any angle. Only explanation would be that it’s a joke on how she confuses other hedgehogs for Sonic, despite different appearances

I think Shadow getting confused for Sonic by the general public makes sense under the assumption that GUN is incriminating the public figure that people already know about, rather than letting people know ANYTHING about an escaped secret government project. "Sonic wore up his quills weird to rob the bank! Those red streaks are due to the lighting!" As for Amy, she's just REALLY dumb.

Not disappointed she knew the actual story and the Fandub version while Amanda and Michaela were befuddled at everything. You can play as Amy in the VS mode, and she is broken as hell. In vs mode collecting rings lets you use a random ability out of like 3 or 4. Amy has the lowest cost, so she can spam the abilities like targeted damage and timestop. You can beat the first level before your opponent leaves the snowboarding section with how broken she is.

I'm a huge Sonic nerd and so I'd like to share this bit of information that nobody cares about with you: It's heavily implied that Biolizard and Shadow were designed by Dr. Gerald Robotnik based on Perfect Chaos and Super Sonic. We know Gerald studied Chaos because lots of "Artificial Chaos" enemies in the Ark. We know his knowledge of Chaos comes from studying the Echidna civilization because there was a replica of an Echidna shrine in the Ark (where Sonic and Shadow went super in the end). And we know the Echidnas had foretold the coming of Sonic because there's an ancient Echidna painting of Super Sonic fighting Eggman in Hidden Palace Zone (from Sonic & Knuckles). So yeah, technically Shadow is the faker, even though he was created over 50 years ago 😄

Something I always notice about these reactions to this dub is when Amy mentions not kidnapping any five year olds to help free sonic, everyone is confused. Yeah only thing we censored was Eggman cussing at the start, this is one of our older videos though where we had to mix the audio in a weird way so that you could hear us talking so maybe it's just coincidence? (we used to record all three of our voices with just one mic xD)
