The law is if a person is stating where they are staying is their current home and they have been at the place for 2 or more weeks. You have to give a 3 day notice to leave, if that fails you have to file for eviction through a civil court and have them physically served a 30 day notice. How do I know? My sister who is a meth addict tricked me into thinking she was turning her life around and was homeless. Long story short she lied and after one week i called the police and they said she needed to be evicted. I wanted to scream my head off dude. I have also heard some squatters file an appeal and get an extra 30 days.
