Even the rigging in favour of some boring queens (namely Plastique's win) are done basically solely to incite drama, which creates for interesting and fun TV. Bless Ra'jah, Silky, A'keria, Scarlet, Mercedes and Yvie for giving us one of the best collections of dramatic crazy storytelling drag race has seen in a WHILE. (Also gotta love how literally all of these queens are fan faves now as they should be because they were literally the best parts of Season 11)

But another reason is that if they put anyone else against Vanjie at that point, she might eliminate someone who is a weaker lip-syncer but stronger in terms of over-all performance. If they switched parts to sing and perform, a lot can happen.

Fun little editing thing I noticed that I haven't seen anyone else mention: The fourth, hairy chested guy behind the counter during Yvie's verse is the same guy who was wearing the gold jacket and when they walk on top of the counter, you can see that for some reason he wasn't able to get the shoes on that every other backup dancer has during his costume change, so he's just wearing socks. Then, when they go to the wide shot, he has the shoes on and they walk off the counter and he ends up by Yvie. I know that just means it's a new take but I thought it was cool to notice
