Lara could have taken over this song and taken Laura down but she refrained from overpowering the duet. Laura is definitely talented and has many wonderful songs, but somehow seemed off key in places during this performance.

Ciao, i duetti non sono competizioni di chi ha la voce più potente o chi è tecnicamente più dotato, i grandi artisti non prevalgono mai il partner di duetto ed è per questo che LARA è così amata e richiesta nei duetti. Ciao.

More often than not, it is in the contrast between the vocal attributes in a duet that the captivating element is to be found ( e.g. with Johnny Hallyday in "Requiem pour un fou", or with Maurane in "Tu es mon autre", and even with Rick Allison with the latter song, while not as technically proficient, in my estimation was more effective on a purely emotional level). All of this, however, is party to say that there is undoubtedly a subjective aspect to be taken into consideration, even though I generally belong to the controversial camp that regard art as much more objectively measurable than most of the pretentious intelligentsia like to give it credit for.

I recommend that before making a reaction to a song that is not in your language, inform you, look for the translation of lyrics, find out where the people who sing come from and what their trajectory is. If you don't know any of that, the reception of the performance is poor and worthless.
