Lara has indeed written many of her songs you hear in her concerts (songs with Rick Allison who produced "Nue") and written many for others. Often about her personal history and struggles. From Eric Sicard, the world's "Fabiapedia", Lara Fabian is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with NO Peer! 1) she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total 2) she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line. 3) she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none. Imagine the worlds greatest voice combined with a brilliant Thespian and you get Lara Fabian. That's why you come away from her concerts FAR BEYOND Impressed that you might think about for a couple days. You come away informed, captivated, included, and you never forget that feeling. 4) she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. Sings with children impromptu in the middle of a concert, surprises fans with appearances, sings for awareness, loves to teach and coach upcoming talent, shares her talent with the world, wears her feelings on her sleeve and doesn't hide anything. The most genuine talent I've ever seen or witnessed. Completely approachable like a mere mortal.

Before the song she said "Il y a des gens qui partent parce qu'ils ne s'aiment plus" the translation must be "There are people who leave because they don't love themselves anymore" and she says "cause you are leaving" like a desperate person who talks to herself. It's not a love song but a song about suicide that she wrote after a dark moment in her life.
