Some of the commandments, like "love thy neighbour", and "don't steal/kill/etc." 4. Think about the consequences of your actions, not just who's right and who's wrong in the moment 5. Consider what relationships you want to keep. Sometimes it's worthwhile to practice avoidance and other times it's good to be emboldened and to reach out and take what you desire (in a long term sense),. 6. The concept of an overall good The predecessors of christianity who contributed to it's later formation (philosophically), were the stoics, neo-platonists, greek skeptics, and Epicurus. However, these philosophers and movements had to reject key points made by Aristotle, such as Aristotle solving the liar paradox, before THAT even became a thing. It's an interesting dynamic between those who teach how to avoid and cope with pain (which faith is good at doing) vs. the Aristotle's objective fusing of rationality and sensibleness to create science. In short, this could be "faith vs. science", but I think it's a better contrast to say "faith vs. the lyceum" as a duality that should exist in people's heads. We don't need to be religious to acknowledge this.

This is one of the most incredibly well mixed songs I think I've ever heard, scratch that Album I've ever heard. Mark Ronson did an incredible job making it sound completely air tight. Are you a musician, bro? Because you've got one hell of an ear. I've been a musician for over 30 years and I didn't notice a thing until reading this comment and going back and listening to it very very closely. And I've been playing/singing this song accompanied by my own guitar playing for years. I feel that during the intro, the ethereal, synth sounds come through much more clearly, the bass is more pronounced throughout, as the other commenter mentioned, plus, during the lull just before the building crescendo, as Josh sings "between pleasure and agony, a runaway line" there is no "pick scraping" to be heard on any guitar, unlike the album version we're all used to. Good fucking call bro. I would have never put in this much time or effort to investigate a comment if it weren't my favorite song maybe ever. If this song doesn't make you want to move, I don't want you in my life, lol. Cheers bro

Technically it is because it’s different from the album mix, which already had a kinda Millie and weak sound. This track was the one semi-exception, but this album didn’t feel anywhere newr as full and thick and vibrant as songs for the deaf or era vulgaris or even rated R. A good album messed up by meh post-production.
