I'm so happy to see people coming back around to this album. It was at least 5 years ahead of its time if you ask me, and with ITNR being such a great collection of sounds from Queens past, this is one fantastic album. Easily one of their best IMHO, especially with all the guests on it (Elton John on Fairweather Friends, anyone?). Songs for the Deaf is another masterpiece but got way more love than this album. Alright lyrics, but a pity of these five clichés: - "your one and only" - "I'm the lonely one" - "passing ships in the night" - "nowhere to run away" - "nowhere to hide" You can hear those lines in a thousand songs.

In the last year I've been stricken with a complex breathing issue that defies diagnosis and treatment. Today, an ENT specialist took particular interest in not being able to sing anymore. So we're gonna do another appointment where they put a camera back in my neck and watch what happens when I sing this song. I'll probably get thru the first verse fine, and then my falsetto will start to break up, and the transitions will swing wildly. So ya Ocean is gonna be a medical diagnostic tool.
