Fan-fucking-tastic dude! One of my all-time favourite QOTSA tracks and you nailed it! 👍 The part i love most in this song is the outro - _'just a dead man'_ onwards and (again) you got it spot on. Must have taken ages to film, record and edit, so bravo for a job well done. I'd say that's worth a sub!

Oh man, I'm very admirative of your work. I was looking for a drum cover of the song to repro it as a custom song in Rock Band, and you literally gave me everything haha I just feel like the QOTSA version form Era Vulgaris is slightly faster, but it's still extremely impressive. Bravo.

Cheers man, I used ableton in built bass synth and added fuzz and distortion and fucked about with the wave forms to get it close to how it sounds, the up and down sort of motion

Hi man, this is my favourite QOTSA song and you definitely did it justice! Instrumentation was spot on (guitar tones, aggressive intro synth) and vocals were excellent, in some places you sounded EXACTLY like Josh Homme! Great cover, keep rocking!

Did you use any effects on the “I need a thrill” vocal part? I have the same copperphone mic that Mikey uses live, but it sounds like there’s a touch of talk box or autowah or something too. Yours sound pretty spot on here!

From what I remember I spent a lot of time playing with EQ's and other effects, I didn't use talkbox or autowah on it, just good ol' EQs :)

here on KZbin I was looking for a misfit love vocal track to use on my cover of the song and then I find this. rating? 10/10. I would maybe up the hi-hat a little bit to match the original, but who am I to say. I decided to do my first cover/mix just seven days ago and I'm still learning how to play the drums. As expected, so far the results were fairly horrendous, but there's no way around it. Just keep going. Speaking of which, may I ask: what DAW are you using? Any quick specific beginner mixing tips for each instrument? Alone each of my tracks sounds pretty, but once mixed it all just got ugly. Not clipping is hard, man. Granted, I'm using Audacity, so there it is. Once again, 10/10. This is my favorite QOTSA song from my favorite QOTSA album. It is also my favorite live performance, the one I craved so much to witness since the first time I saw it on video, Werchter 2007 tour. Sadly, when I finally got the opportunity to see them live in 2010, they striked it off from their set list. Saw them again in 2018 and, again, no Misfit Love for me. Guess I'll have to stick with the live performances on KZbin, and yours is a great addition to my playlist. Thank you for the inspiration.

The only thing I can say is practice and practice some more, I’ve got loads to learn still, there are definitely things I would improve for sure. Really really low down in my throat, needed lots of water lol, Mikey has an insanely low voice so probs doesn't have to push it as much, I really had to go as low as I could and be in pitch with the bass and guitar
