Lullabies to paralyze is their most underrated album imo. The deluxe edition that includes songs like precious and grace is such an awesome album. They’re the best band in the world.

I watch this once a month to remind me to keep making music despite being poor and cold. 40 years on from picking my first guitar and finding my missing other half, it remains of one of life's greatest pleasures to collaborate with like-minded voyagers. The journey into the unknown when locked into the recording studio underworld is SO well represented here - thanks for sharing this!

This album and Era Vulgaris did not get the love they deserve. Hell I even feel that way with Villains! If Bowie written all the songs on Villains it would be highly praised. Problem I think lies in the fact people were expecting a SFTD 2 or ...Like Clockwork 2. Sure I wouldn’t mind if they did that, but I want to see everything Josh has to offer creatively. Dude is a artistic genus !

I think Era Vulgaris is WAY better than Lullabies. This album feels like an album Josh made for dudes who want to fuck Vampire chicks who shop at hot topic and dress as "Bad kitties" for Halloween. Its kinda a creeper album. That's why its by fav my least favorite of their albums. Even including what Trump called a "jawl whack dog" album "Billians". Era Vulgaris has "Turning on the Screw", Into the Hallow", "Suture Up Your Future", "River in the Road", "3's & 7's", "Sick Sick Sick" and "Make it with Chu". Also Joey Castillo finds his sounds and personality on Era.
@aguzHC4 жыл бұрын
Well you could say that Era Vulgaris was an album for the indie-altern-thestrokish audience, with more easy lisenings, less long tracks... i think that era vulgaris is the less daring album of qotsa. Would say that´s is the less qotsa album, but there´s a thing called Villains that refutes me.
@okcomputerwhatever46904 жыл бұрын
@@aguzHC the whole "screw people's irrelevant expectations" attitude of era vulgaris always struck me as one of their most brilliant sounds. maybe it just hit me when i first listened to it years ago differently but it's always been one of my favorite and it never gets old.
