They’re using Chris’ voice there on the “had to make a choice or two” lines right? God it’s so good to hear him. Yes, Tate will always be “The voice of Queensryche” but Chris will always be the heart and soul of this band. And while I could never argue with anyone who would say that the band was never the same again after Tate left, I’d hope those same people would never fight with me if I said the band was never the same again after Chris left.

Smoking. I think he said smoking. I think he quit at one point, but idk if he started again. Voice does change with age, but you have to take care of it by not smoking or drinking and drugging so much. Um, I think Steve Walsh from Kansas did that to his voice, too. Drugs and alcohol. I think it was Kerry who said Steve had a ritual or drugs and alcohol he would take before going on stage. He has since quit for many years now, though. But yea. I have always loved Geoff and his vocal abilities. There is a Female voice teacher who does a reaction video to Take Hold of the Flame live performance from the 80's, and it is funny to watch her reactions to him.
