Actually, it's the only logical way to go - anything is better than driving through Q'town! It's many years since I drove up the Lower Shotover Road. A much better road today than then!

Yes, the circumnavigation of the airport must have about 7 minutes. Lol

It was that day - roadworks at the BP corner in Frankton saw to that. It was much faster to go that way on the day.
